I have sold my platinum hybrid with the advanced package. It was just too stiff of a ride. I had the 1794 with the TRD off road and the ride was so much better. Not even a close comparison. I know the advanced package had the auto leveling air suspension and the AVS. My question is what does the capstone have if it does not have the advanced package option. I believe if I am reading it correctly, the capstone has the AVS but does not have the auto leveling air suspension. If that is true I should expect it to be a much better ride ? Can someone please explain. Thank you.

Get the 1794 TRD Off-road. That is the best suspension. I test drove the air suspension with AVS and it’s trash. I don’t think you can get AVS without the air. So the Capstone without air suspension will be the same suspension as the Platinum.

This is what I found. Not sure how true it is

"Adaptive Variable Suspension and load-leveling rear height control air suspension are available as the only notable options on the Capstone order sheet. The former of those suspensions does notably improve the truck’s ride with electronic valves that adjust damping on the fly without any attention from the driver"

    mechanical options
    TRD Air Filter +$130
    Load-Leveling Rear Air Suspension +$1,045

My Capstone does not have the load leveling rear height control, nor does it have the AVS. Those two are packaged together. I'm actually glad it doesn't, as it's a more simple, less costly to repair in the long run suspension system, and it rides fantastic as far as I'm concerned.
