Does anyone know if you can upgrade the SR5 8” head unit to the 14”? If not are there any options out there as a big screen?

    Thanks!

Since all of these trucks are intermingled I don't see any reason why you couldn't. You would also probably have to replace the computer underneath it to use all of its features though. The wait time alone will probably be a few years before they have spares. Also your looking at around several thousand to replace both the HU and the computers.

I talked with two different dealerships, both said you couldn’t because of the wiring harness. I was a bit confused

I may be mistaken but I think they run the same wiring harnesses for all the trucks. This is how they cut costs.

Even if they didn't someone will eventually get to making an adapter for it.
