Long Story short, was on relatively "local" vacation, on the drive down starting hearing a squeaking sound coming from the truck. Once we arrived at the hotel 200 miles later inspected everything I found the top bushing of the driver coilover was missing. The washer that held the bushing to the top hat was flopping around. Drove home the next day parked it, and contacted FBG to get some parts.

2019 Plat CC 25k miles coil overs have been on 99% of the mileage. Rides the pavement only.

I could feel the strut shaft ovaled the passthrough, most likely the squeak cause, on the top hat a bit so FBG sent me 4 new bushings for both sides and I paid for the new top hat. The parts arrived today and I'm a little miffed as to how this is going to be prevented from happening again.

    1. The top hat hole/passthrough for strut is bigger than the strut shaft as it should be.
    2. BUT The top/bottom bushing do not fit into the top hat hole or any of the recesses they are free so slide around.
    3. The shaft with the new bushings would be capable of "wiggling" as nothing locks in/centers the strut shaft.
    4. There's nothing between the bottom bushing, top hat, top bushing that appears to align themselves together.
    5. The bushings basically are held in compression from the nut on the strut shaft/upper/lower washers and hope that everything stays centered?

So...my brain is saying this can't be right, but everything I can see from the passenger side says this is how its supposed to be. Maybe with the whole coilover apart it will make sense? I've contacted FBG but its Friday afternoon so I expect a reply on Monday. I really DON'T want to take everything apart and have this be incorrect. I included some pics (my finger is holding the bushing in place in the one pic)

Has it been too long of a day and I'm missing something?

TLDR: Eibach Pro 2.0's are going on this weekend and the FBG's are going to the dump.

Just gonna follow this up with some closure. I haven't heard back from FBG in a week now regarding what I found/questioned with the replacement parts, sigh. Over the weekend I removed the busted coil to see what I would be dealing with regarding the bushings/top hat and it turns out that the bushings/strut pretty much just hope and pray to stay aligned based on the top nut of the strut holding everything together. Unfortunately, once the weight of the truck came off the ground the strut extended and the top washer pinned itself against the lock nut and is completely warped/bent. So now I would need a new washer just to install the new bushings and tophat. BUT it gets better, the strut shaft itself is bent which is most likely due to driving with the strut wobbling around in the top hat for who knows how long as the sound only started once we began vacation. So the entire driver side coilover isn't usable after 25k miles on nice flat Florida driving.

On the plus side, my new Eibach's just got here, they appear to be MUCH better made, and I'm waiting for some 1/4" CM shims to get it back up and running.

You will like the Eibach set up, it is excellent for the $ and great warranty. I have been very pleased with mine.
