Need some alignment advice (see numbers below). Just had new wheels and tires installed. Steering is super light and feels like it’s dancing at high speeds. Steering was previously light, but not this bad. Only suspension mod is installing TRD Pro shocks prior to new wheels and tires.

Not super happy with camber but it’s within spec. What do y’all think? Thanks in advance.

The shocks gave you a lift, right... and no alignment was done at that time? Describe "dancing".

All they did was increase the left side toe a bit. I think you'd want the right side caster higher than the left by a few tenths, and yours is opposite.

Shocks were done about 6months ago and I had an alignment done then. Steering was a little light afterwards but this bad.

Dancing - constantly having to make minor corrections while driving. Small inputs result in significant turning, steering feels super light.

    Tires and wheels?

The caster should be enough but you can always increase it (can't do much though with a lift)... that will improve self-centering. Increasing toe improves stability also. You may want to find a place that specializes in alignments, or do it yourself.

Yes, the pictured alignment numbers were after new tires/wheels. Went from stock to TRD wheels with 275/70r18 tires.

I was thinking about tackling it myself as I have with many other things lately. It’s been extremely difficult to find quality work in my area. I’m also tempted to take it back and ask them to try again.

I did my own alignment after I installed shocks. I'm very happy with it so far. I mostly eyeballed it! You need to get the truck level first, side to side. Fore aft should be close to level, but side to side is critical, particularly having the front and back on the same plane.

If you look at your LCA cams you can see if you have more caster available. To maximize it the rear pivot should be out as far as possible, then you adjust the front pivot until camber is in spec, then adjust toe with the tie rods.

I did buy a little $25 angle finder which came in handy for leveling the truck and setting camber.

Based on my own experiences using this information from another forum by a member named socal57chevy, you have too much camber and your cross toe should be checked.

    STOCK TRUCKS:
Camber: +.1 degree camber on both sides.
Caster: As much as possible without sacrificing +.1 degree camber or causing a cross caster pull.
Toe: +.12 degrees per side for a total toe of +.24 degrees. (some guys have had to drop toe to +.04 to +.5 per side/+.08 to +.10 total toe)

    LIFTED TRUCKS:
Same As Above ... BUT if you have wheels that have more negative offset than foctory wheels, increase the camber to +.2 degrees. (or even +.3 degrees if they just can't get there with the amount of adjustment allowed by the eccentrics) Adjustable upper control arms are available for cases where there just isn't enough adjustment left in the eccentrics to get a decent alignment. Although they are expensive, most guys with lifts have a lot of $$$ invested in tires so you need to make a judgement call.

Thank you and thank you to everyone else for the advice. I asked my local Toyota to hit the numbers suggested and they got pretty dang close. Rides and steers much better.
