    Hi All,

First and foremost, I'd like to say thank you to all that post and reply on the site for all the helpful information. I've had my truck for a year now and have come here often for fixes...mods...etc. So again, thank you!

With that said, I'd like to introduce myself and the truck in hopes of being a more contributing member.

I live in the northeast and love to fish, camp and hunt. So I have always had trucks. I left a 2011 GMC Sierra Crew Cab for this 2014 CM. I bought it used from a dealer with about 85,000 miles on it. It spent most of its life in Virginia, so that was appealing, since I was dealing with a very rusty GMC. Within a month or so I was getting check engine lights and a very long story short, ended up having a blown head gasket. The dealer I bought it from ended up good faithing the repair which was completed by a closer to me Toyota dealer. They also got my into a Toyota Platinum 5 year / 50k mile warranty. I've since used that for a new radiator, front brake calipers and a broken rear leaf spring! Overall I think I made out ok...but it sure has been a pain. Luckily, for the head gasket issue, I still had my old truck, so I wasn't without a truck for what ended up being a couple of months.

Fast forward some time and (knock on wood), the truck has been fairly good to me. My daughter calls it the school bus truck since, its so big inside. We love that space and the power it has. I only drive my truck around 7500k miles a year (hunting, fishing, camping) so the gas mileage isn't a huge deal for me. I love the Silver Sky Metallic as I live on a dirt road and it hides the dirt very well. It does great towing a snowmobile trailer, an enclosed trailer and a boat.

I've leveled the front and put blocks in the rear as I like the rake and generally have something in the bed sagging it down a touch. I have 275/70/18 Duratracs on the stock TRD rims and only had a bit of rubbing on the front mud flaps. (I did have to take them off since it was a bit annoying to hear them rub). I have 1.25 inch wheel spacers on it as well.

I have a Katahdin rack on the truck which is super practical and rugged.

Cosmetically, I've done a few things: I bought a used honeycomb grill off a 2019 which, I think, really makes a difference in the look. I just bought two used OEM LED headlights and am waiting on a harness to get those installed. I tinted the front windows to match the back which looks sharp.

I initially wanted to de-chrome the whole truck but I don't' think I am going to spend the money. My plan right now is to keep the truck as long as I have the warranty... and see what happens after that....depending on how its running.

If anyone has questions about what I've done, please reach out!

    Thanks again!
