Looks good! I have that same little flag mount and it's worked well the couple of times I've used it.

Both mounts are because they are super fun, at least to me. Maybe some utility in there as well. The standard fiberglass whip has two flags, depending on the day and theme. Baby Yoda and Student Driver. The 5150 LED is no theme, just haha. But, It does act like a sweet brake light. @FrenchToasty better wire his whip for the brake trigger or I'm gonna take it away from him.

I wish I had a themed whip/flag. Mines just plain ole' high viz orange.

So are we going to do a lap around Big Bear Lake with all of our whips on?

Can someone explain to this dumb Arkansan what the point of a whip is? Is it just for better visibility?

Their practical use is for visibility at night when going over hills, so motorcycles/ATVs/SXS know you're nearby and can avoid you. Similar to a whip and flag during the day time. Other uses are for keeping track of group members at night when riding together. They also provide nice area lighting and look cool.

When I tore up those sand dunes on Lake Michigan we had to run flags. I like the light up ones better. Looks awesome.

When CarMax received our 2020 Highlander hybrid, our pickup date went from 24 hours later to "in transit". We couldn't figure out why.

When we finally got to test drive it, I found a receipt from our previous Toyota dealership service dept in he glove box. Backup assist apparently was found "not working", they had to replace the camera.

I wasn't aware the OEM cameras really ever failed. I was surprised to hear you got a borked-up one, then I remembered ours had similar.

No. The USB will always be used. So i want it above. I was considering in the center console under the lid. But spacing wasn’t working well.

So very, very close. Picked it up from the paint booth, and now it’s waiting at the tire shop for the Methods and 33s. Can’t wait.

Thanks, man. All the little things are staring to come together. I’ve got some custom headlights on order to replace those yellowed OEMs (the clear marker lights really make it obvious now) and I’ve got some new electrical gremlins to chase down, but finally feel like I’m making headway. From here on out, most everything else will be on my own timetable, as opposed to scheduling stuff with third parties. The waiting, as Tom Petty said, is the hardest part.

$3,500 total. That includes me bringing him the front bumper in bare metal ahead of time so he could prime it immediately. I then had it welded/installed and brought the whole truck back, where he removed the bumper and shot it to match. He also fixed quite a few dents and dings. I feel like I got an excellent deal.

i made a Booboo. My radio wheel controls no longer function with the lights on…. Thanks to my fuck up on the wheel side. Appears to be a radio side issue now so I have done fucked up a little…. Oh well… keep my eye open for another radio to toss in and use this one in the rolla I guess..

Attempting to uh… change the LED color.

my soldering skills need work for surface mount leds apparently.

SO. I will be putting this specific radio in the corolla eventually…. For now I’ve killed illumination on the switches and all functions correctly.. sucks it didn’t ruin the switch…. Only the radio. Ugh. Tested with my spare switches and same shit. Oh well. Live and learn.

Who knew radio controls were so hard.

this is one spot where the older MY has an easier path, all halogen bulbs? I hope. I sure am not going to be soldering surface mount LED’s.
