This repo stuff will also benefit me with shit boxes though… people will still want them because their nice cars are gone.

And the cheap cars will be cheaper because of the people who bought cars with issues that can’t afford them anymore too and offload them cheap

That is exactly where you want it, the rear springs will lay down a tad. Front comes up a tad. Beautiful. I'm looking at mine and I'm closer and closer to losing the TC drop shackles and adding the 4" AG that are on the way.

Yeah, too low out of the box, so he sent them back to Deaver for a rebuild. I did the same, but I just sold mine and bought something that had way more lift and weight capacity.

I dig it in the ‘05 Tacoma. That’s my attempt to be more like you. Except it’s a 2wd I4 with zero balls. Not even a half a ball. But good turning radius and clean paint. And two seater. I do love it. If only it had steering wheel audio controls :)

I went a little lower, just so the port wasn't exposed all the time to splashing fluids and other stuff, and if I wanted to keep something like an iPod plugged in, I wouldn't hafta keep it visible and open myself to a window smash to steal electronics. I think I used the same USB3 port.

Fuel tank strap. This is NOT how I wanted to spend my morning!

    fuel.jpg

They're repaving the road...I hit a raised manhole harder than anticipated. Afterward I heard a "ticking" noise, and looked underneath to find the fuel tank strap flopping around on the drive shaft. I took my other car to the stealer to get the parts, although at a much higher price than I had planned this in advance. Were I not so close to home I would have used a ratchet strap as an interim fix.

I was lucky to remove the tensioning bolts from both straps without breaking, using liberal amounts of blaster, taking my time to wrench back and forth in both directions. I used a 10m x 1.25 tap and die to clean the hole and bolt, and plenty of anti-seize to reassemble.

The notion of having the fuel tank drop out and drag on the ground was chilling. Check your straps for rust if you haven't checked lately.

Hit a major milestone today, haha. Bought this truck just about 4 years ago with 76,000 miles on it, so only 22,000 in 4 years. Helps to have a daily driver beater. IMG_20220718_144400844.jpg

PS: Yes i know my dash is dusty, im going camping next weekend so dont feel like cleaning it yet

Long time, no see! Been a busy bee lately. bought a MAJOR fixer-upper house with a 2500S/F shop, started a new job in a new industry, and am currently living 50% out of a camper next to the new house, and 50% in an apartment 2 hours away. been putting crazy miles on the Turdna back and forth, up to 283,XXX now. had some fun yesterday, towing an 8x10 chicken coop and 1500lbs of cinder blocks 25 miles from my uncle's place to the new place. she took it like a champ. Ol' ram had a brake blowout and is currently in pieces.

Thats seriously awesome man, congratulations! How much land are you on? I have chickens in my backyard here in southern california. They are the best, fresh eggs throughout a good portion of the year. Jealous of you, one day ill get me some acreage out of the city and just do projects all day long, haha. Have fun fixing up that fixer upper!

Thanks man! we've got 10 acres. 14 chickens so far, but 2 roosters, so hopefully once they start laying we have more as time comes. we're way out in the boonies, but with fiber internet, so my new gig working from home is totally doable.

Not sure if it helps (and don't recall if in my thread) but I gauged how big to make the hole using a digital caliper to measure the collar, then cut out a square that size on a piece of paper. Taped the paper in place, and etched a line around it with Xacto knife. Then drill and dremel to cut it out. Easy-peasy.

That's the setup we're looking for also. So tired of being in the city and could never live in the 'burbs, can't wait to get back out on land again.

Fun fact, I have Summit Racing 3" performance cats, and they keep the CEL away.

Not to mention the FE is transverse vs longitudinal for an 2GR-FSE or 2GR-FKS

The nice thing about an MR2 is that any FWD engine will work since it's a mid-engine, RWD.
