My 2021 has the 3/1 level on it and I just got new 285/55/20 tires. However, the Fuel Covert wheels I have make the tires stick out a couple inches. I found someone with some stock wheels and I am considering trading. My concern is going back to stock wheels and rubbing the uca’s. The tires stick out farther than the clearance I currently have between the tire and the uca’s. The guy that wants to trade has a long drive to where I am and I don’t want him to make the drive only to find out that his wheels won’t fit with my current tires. Anyone have some good info for my situation? Thanks!!

i wish i knew how to create a link on here but i can't. if you go to the forums then tundra garage then wheels and tires there is a thread there that has all these specs on it. it says stock tire size for 2014+ tundras are 275/55 r20 and the tires you have now it sounds like your re using on the stock wheels, correct? if so they could rub but i can't tell for sure without a picture. i just had issues with wheels myself and the people on her helped me a lot. i learned that the "offset" or"backspacing" on the wheel is more important than the tire size when worried about rubbing your UCAs. it could be that right now with your after market wheels on, the tires could be closer to the uca than if you had a stock set on because of an offset difference. my wheels were rubbing with aftermarket wheels on it and when i went back to stock it was fine. the after markets i had on there had a 5-1/2" backspacing and stock ones are 4-1/2". any way i hope i helped. if not there are a lot of very cool people on here that should jump in and help.

Thanks a million for the info! I really like the way my truck looks now so I may just get some wider mud flaps from Rockblox. However, my son just bought a Tundra today and he really wants my wheels. Decisions decisions

On a stock rim you'd only be 5mm closer to the UCA than a stock tire. I really doubt that is going to be a problem.

I have 325s on +25 9" rims, and stock UCAs. There is 35mm clearance to the UCA (just measured). If I had +60 offset (stock) it would be just touching. But your narrower tire gets you an extra 20mm clearance... which again, should be plenty.

    Too many, but not enough....
Do you have your stock spare tire still? That has the same offset as factory wheels, you can check with that.

I never even thought of that. However, the tire on the spare is smaller than what I’m running but it should be close enough to gauge it. Thanks!
