Monday me and my kids were stopped at a red light i was 5 6 ft behind the car in front of me. As the light turned green all the cars started to move forward as I did slowly around 10 to 15 mph the front collison system went off unexpectedly. Now mind you the car in front of me was about 15 to 20 feet infront now. First the beeping as I look at the dash I can see the warning then the squeaking and grinding of the breaks then the harsh stop as if we got rear ended thats what I thought happen my kids looked behind said nothing behind us. I was confused. I pulled over called corporate to see if any recalls or complaints nothing they took a report advised me to take it in. So I took it in same day the advisor said this is normal he said he owned one and It did the same to him a few times. I was confused and worried so I said ok he said he would make a note in my profile of what happened just incase of issues pops up again. Next morning I get a call from corporate advising me take it in and they will have the customer service rep at dealer make all the arrangements. They said this is something the engineer's and there transportation board may want to look at and made me do paper work at dealer and sign concent papers to access the black box on truck to see what happened I didn't even now they had one in cars now. Has anyone had this happen to them.

The senior advisor who wrote it up did looked under the front and back end and and I'm guessing the radar points to see if they were not damage or the truck was damaged as if was hit as if it was in a accident maybe. He said front end and back end look great. Everything looks normal.

Haven't had this happen in the Tundra yet, but it happened to me a dozen times or so over the 4 years I owned my 2018 Tacoma, once going full speed on the freeway!

6000 miles on my 2022, never had issue with front collision system. Works great on highways on keeping distance. Could be a TSS calibration issue or a software issue?
