My local dealer called knowing I was interested in a truck - they had one that came in that someone cancelled on. They're selling at MSRP, which I never thought would be considered a good thing, still don't tbh. It's an SR5 TRD Sport 4x4 Crewmax with the 5.5ft bed. Are these things hard to come by or are SR5's flowing out of the factory?

For context, I'm also shopping for a Sienna for my wife, and have been on the wait list since February. That being a hybrid is likely the reason for the long delay. Are the Tundra's normally a 3-6 month wait?

This is very close to what I'm looking for, but red isn't my favorite, and I'm not in a particular hurry on this purchase. I put a refundable deposit down so it's currently reserved, just need to make up my mind and trying to get others perspectives.

If you're not in a hurry I'd wait for one in a color you do like. None of the trims are easy to come by, but SR5 and limited seem to be the easiest.

Get the sienna first, she’s going to be ripping if you come rolling in with that.

I would recommend waiting for what you want if you aren't in a hurry. A lot of money to spend to have buyers remorse.

Yes, going to wait after reading more on the Sport vs. Off Road. The latter is more my thing. Thanks all for the input.

For new cars, especially if you're in a hurry, I'd wait. Used cars sometimes need to make concessions and not get the exact combo you want, but if buying new and not in a hurry, get what you want. Just know that I've been waiting since January for mine. It should be getting on the train soon (if not already on it), hoping to take it home by mid-August. My absolute requirements were TRD OR, CrewMax, Army Green or Lunar Rock, SR5 or Limited. Ended up getting allocated a Limited TRD OR, CM, Lunar Rock, 6.5 ft bed, hybrid.

If you think TRD OR would be your preference over the TRD Sport, I'd hold out for sure. Just be ready to wait.
