So we purchased a 2022 tundra XP and the backseats that folded down nice and flat with a hard cover nice deck..it had the wastegate issue with the turbos so we traded it in for the platinum.. the platinum not so nice with the folding backseats it’s not flat it has an angle it’s carpeted instead of a hard surface like the XP… although it is more luxurious the XP had the rugged TRD features that we were looking for.. A little disappointed paid 20 grand more for this truck

Same cab configuration? Does the Platinum have additional seat features like heat or something?

One of the features I love on my ‘19 DC is the flat floor with the seats folded up. It’s perfect for tools and going to the range. They really screwed that up on the new model, no more flat floor.

You're disappointed that the bare bones base model work truck is more utilitarian and the high end luxury truck is fancier?

I have a Limited DC and my seats are also carpeted on the back and do not fold totally flat. My 2018 Tacoma did and I LOVED it. Kinda sucks the Tundra doesn't have it, but it is what it is.
