Powder coating is so backed up right now, of the three places that do it in Boise the soonest I could get my bumpers done was 3-4 weeks

 

Welp, we might as well make a game out of this and see who’s closest to the right date of them shipping out the pro lifts. They said by the end of the week in my email and no shipping confirmation yet. Im going to put my guess at August 17th at the rate we are going.

 

Any reputable shops going to have a wait I definitely understand that. If I’m westcott I’m looking into buying the equipment and doing all the work themselves!

 

Nitto Ridge Grapplers (35x12.5s) fit on TRD Pro. With the factory 1in “lift”, there is just a tiny tiny bit of rub on the mud flaps when turning just before full lock. I have a Westcott on the way as well but I’m gonna pull off the mud flaps temporarily (or maybe permanently lol) until it arrives.

I absolutely hated the factory look of the 33s so I was too impatient to wait any longer.

 

Makes me think it will be impossible to squeeze 35s on the TRD Pro Sequoia without some sort of lift installed since so far it doesn't appear that Toyota is even giving the 1" factory lift on the '23s

I can answer this one!! Lol I put a deposit down and after waiting 4 months after being told 6-8 weeks. I was left with no update unless I called 5x’s found a dealer in Kansas and they called/texted me with updates everyday until my truck came in. As far as cedar parks service department they were great the 2 times I’ve been there.

Not a real big fan of black but the price was right and what I was offered for my trade was more then right so I jumped.

so far I am liking the trucks performance.

Not the best pic but picked this up last Tuesday.

 

Looking at mine, and imagining it an inch lower on suspension, I think they will fit… depending on brand. Just look at specs for each brand.
You will no doubt need to pull the mudflaps though. I pulled my front ones and no more rub. Still going to do the Westcott though for ground clearance and to ensure no rubbing off-road if suspension is flexed and/or I have any pressure let out of tires.

 

I should have been more specific, I think they'll fit the wheel well, but as you noted there will be some rubbing without cosmetic modifications. Thinking I may be able to get away with something like 295/70 (34.6) Falken AT3W since it would only be 11.6" width until there are lift options available. Doesn't matter at this point as we're still probably a few months from availability on the vehicle.

 

My wife wants a new Sequoia in general, not a TRD. From what all of the local dealers have told me, it is gonna be the same if not worse shit-show of getting one as the Tundra has been. Expect markups unless ordering, and maybe even then.

 

Really good. They've got a nice facility. Took them a minute to walk up and see if I needed any help. Guess I don't look the type ready to buy a new truck.

The sales guy has been good trying to find the Tundra I want with all the addons. Definitely want to purchase from them but getting antsy and looking around elsewhere.

Yeah just waiting for allocations to start dropping at this point, first in line at couple of dealers that we've gotten Pros from in the past so hopefully it's sooner rather than later. I want to get some trail rides in before the snow starts to fall, pop the cherry on rocks and dirt before the ice runs.

 

Definitely. Ill see what we can find. As cool as I think it would be to have a Solar Octane his and hers, she isnt gonna go for that. lol. Even if I could somehow get lucky twice.

The funny thing though, is that none of this came up until recently. It went from “Really? You. Don’t. Need. That.” to “You know, I really wouldn’t mind maybe, sayyyy, a Sequoia…”

 

Very nice! The first 3rd gen tundra I saw on the road, was one just like yours. I fell in love at first sight! I didn’t get to order the one I wanted, but fell in love with the one I found. It was the only one they had, but it has everything I need.

Just got this from the dealer. After quite a bit of bitching on my end, it finally came in. I fly out soon to go get it.

 

Congratulations, beautiful truck! MGM color looks awesome. Assuming you ordered...how long did you wait from the time of deposit?

 

Limited I force max, 4 months all together but didn’t put a deposit until they had one allocated and 1 1/2 month from allocation to delivery.

 

Just got mine a little over two weeks ago and couldn’t be happier.

 

I put money down in late October or November. They didn’t start building the hybrid engines until April though.

 

Thank you Matthinkle. I realize there are folks on this forum who have waited longer then me so in other words I need to temper my frustration. August 1st will be 5 months wait time for me (1794 4x4 non hybrid) and still no allocation. I'm in the Atlanta area, in other words not in Canada (who are waiting longer) or in a smaller market that by it's very nature get's fewer allocations. ARRRGGGHHH!!! Ok, I'm done complaining...
I'm happy for you folks who ARE enjoying your new Tundras and DO APPRECIATE you sharing your pics...it gives me hope and something to look forward to. Keep'em coming.

 

Got my Platinum 4x4 5.5 bed a month ago really love the truck just a couple things I wish were better.
1. There is sometimes throttle lag and other times there isn't so I'm not sure if this is an internal problem but I wish it was just more consistent and didn't have any lag, when switching to sport mode or sport plus there isn't any lag at all which is awesome but shouldn't have to be always changing drive modes.
2. The A/C and heater seem kind of weak and when you turn the air on its annoying how it doesn't default to the A/C you have to push the A/C button (I know first world problems and it takes a second to just push the A/C button but wish it would just default to it being on like other Toyota models) If there is a setting to change this please let me know as I live in Los Angeles and the summer gets real brutal lol
3. Bed seems to sound like it rattles hard when going over some bumps not sure if that's just standard or maybe needs to be tightened more.
4. The biggest issue is definitely the MPG. I think Toyota really misled us into thinking this v6 would provide better MPG and that couldn't be farther from the truth I'm getting horrible MPG around 14 with highway and city driving.
5. Infotainment system is a bit buggy but I know those will be fixed with the over the air software updates. I know Toyota really cares about this tundra and has been releasing the recall fixes very quickly and its very convenient to see it all through the Toyota app and schedule to bring it in to my local dealer to address the recalls.
Other than those minor things its a solid truck and I love it. Ordered the Westcott designs lift kit and plan on putting bigger tires and new wheels and making it look real awesome.

Im a first time truck owner so Im sorry if my qualms might just be normal truck things but thanks for taking the time to look!
