Didn't think about that being a possibility, but makes sense as other manufactures are doing the same thing. Toyota could have a boat load of Tundras sitting somewhere just waiting for a chip or two or specific part. If they finally got whatever they needed I can see them all of a sudden having 800 additional rigs to send out. If they are all Limited Crewmax 4x4 with the 6.5ft bed then that would be even better!

I know there was stop sale due to the rear axle recall for a little while. That stop sale directly affected trucks that were already allocated, but I'm sure that it also caused a "pile up" up stream in the supply chain. They've probably QC'd all those trucks for the recall now and they've opened them up for allocation thus releasing a small flood.

Ah, that is right. I was trying to remember what that stop sale was about. I read about it, but then didn't see much about it after that. That could definitely back up a few rigs for sure. My luck my local dealers will get a whopping 1 or 2 tundras in this additional allocation..

I didn't hear this specifically. However, after months of waiting, my truck is finally being scheduled to hit the load line on 7/19. I wouldn't be surprised if you're right.

I am hoping it solid intel! At the very least maybe a lot of people who have been waiting for an update on their rig will get some good news over the next few days.

One dealer just called me. This all tundra allocation netted them at least 15 trucks from what he can see. He said right now they are just blank boxes in the system and the only thing he can tell is that they are 2022 Tundras. He is hoping they will load in the system sometime this evening. This dealer prioritizes people with trade ins and I will be selling my 2018 Tacoma privately. Not good for me, but we shall see.

Swing and a miss. Bunch of SR5’s and double cabs. Other dealers only got a few Tundras I this allocation. Guess that’s how it goes.

Well, painfully turned down almost the exact truck I was wanting. Crewmax limited 4x4 6.5ft bed. TRD off road, JBL, limited premium package, etc. However, it was one of the two colors that I absolutely do not want. M.

Funny thing is this dealer said it would take 4-6 months to get me something close to what I want and that’s if I came in and officially got on their list. They are in WA and I’m in OR, but it’s not a terrible drive as they are just across the border. This one made it through the list of people and down to me ha Guess no one wants black around here.

I had the same thing happen 2 months ago. Exactly what I wanted, only in Lunar Rock. I just couldn’t do it.

If it would have been lunar rock I would have been all over it ha I just don’t want the black or mesquite. The rest are fair game for the most part.

Yeah, I’m just not a fan of black or brown to begin with. Black does really love to show the scratches too. If it would have been silver, WCP, lunar rock, army green, red, etc I would have said sold! Ha

Makes me think they have a ton of 2022s they need to unload quick before they "switch over" to selling 2023s.

I got a call from my dealer in eastern Oregon on Saturday. I have had a 1794 Hybrid on order since I bought my wife a 21 Highlander in April of 21. They just got allocated 2 hybrids. One is a WCP 1794. I had planned on getting the Army Green but WCP is my second choice. Now we just wait to see when it gets here. On the Toyota owners site, my VIN shows an order date of 04/2022.

Funny you say that about Lunar Rock. I hadn’t even considered that color but when I went “shopping” on the lot (i.e. sitting with the salesman and looking on his computer at their four allocated Tundras on trains heading their way) it was only a Lunar Rock in the Limited trim with TRD Off-road (the only package I was willing to consider) and I almost walked out because I couldn’t do Lunar Rock. Didn’t help that there was nothing on the lot for me to look at in that color. Dealer took another $1,000 off their markup to keep me from walking away from it. Now that it’s “mine” and I’m patiently waiting for the call, I’ve fallen pretty hard for it—Lunar Rock specifically. It’s such a rarity it seems on the road. And it’s one of those colors that looks quite different in and out of the sun. I actually looked at asking for my deposit back because of the unknown ETA but nothing out there was Lunar Rock Ltd. Decided I’m sticking to my guns. I think I’ll be very happy when it arrives.

I think you made the right choice... The way this paint "changes" depending on the lighting is awesome...

Don’t tease me like that! With those pics and all! Your truck looks hot AF!

What percent tint did you do on the front windows?

Thanks! Once the lift goes on I’ll be set for awhile…

15% on the fronts, and 50% over the rears… goes in next week for 50% on the windshield and sunroof…
