Hello all I'm an idiot when it comes to wheel and tire sizes. I have searched and read through all the various wheel/tire threads, but like I said I'm an idiot and still can figure out what I'm looking for. So, I recently traded in my Ram 2500 for a new 22 Tundra. The Tundra came with the 20" wheels/tires. Durning this last winter trading in my Ram was not in my brain yet, and I bought some brand new studded snow tires. They are pretty beefy off road tires that I had studs put into, about $2500. They are 275/70R18 When I first put a deposit down on the Tundra I was a little mad that it had 20" rims so I figured I would sell the snow tires and get a sizes for the new trucks wheels. Then a friend suggested just buying a set of rims to go with the snow tires, as he was sure the tires themselves would fit fine. I have jacks and air tools so I would be able to do my own changeovers(while I'm an idiot about sizes, I am fairly mechanical). I just can't find good info on what size wheels to buy for these tires. Any help in that regards would be awesome. I think I need a 18x8.5 but I also see things about offsets, which I know nothing about. Hope this all made sense and thanks in advance for any help.

I would keep an eye out for someone locally selling SR or SR5 takeoffs and then just swap your tires onto those wheels. This would probably be cheaper and easier than trying to source an aftermarket set.

Where are you located? Maybe someone on here has new takeoffs that you could purchase...

this ^ there will be 18 inch stock takeoffs coming for sale as folks install new rims and larger tires. Hold tight and keep your eyes open and I bet you can get some stock takeoffs for cheap.

There are always some takeoffs available on ebay. I purchased four 18" wheels for about $570 including shipping and tax. You will still need TPMS sensors. I also purchased BLIZZAK DMV2 265 /70 R18 116R winter tires. According my previous experience with these Blizzaks, they are probably the best winter tires.

i know most people dont think about this, but since i am in ND, if you get after market wheels, just make sure the spoke design is pretty open that can shove a stick into it to dislodge compacted snow.

i use a hammer handle w/o the head to break up snow pack in the wheels. once it happens during winter (especially our long winters in ND ~6 months), your tire balance will not be the same until you can unpack the wheels of snow, roughly around 35mph is when you will start noticing the shake and at 50+ it will drive you nuts.

also be careful dislodging snow as you dont want to knock your wheel weights off also.

I did literally just this and found some on eBay for reasonable costs. Went with 18s for more surface area and larger rubber.

Great tip for those in snow areas! I get around this by having a heated garage lol. but still need to poke the spokes every once in a while

My question as well, will 17 inch wheels fit a 22 or 23 Tundra? Or are 18 inch wheels the smallest that will fit on a Tundra?
I prefer more tire and less wheel. I can handle 18 inch wheels but would rather have 17's.

I ended up with getting the 18inch wheel from SR5 offroad to replace my 20'. The DMV2 should have the size of 265/70R18, but it is either sold out or discontinued in my region.

I purchased the Toyo GSI6, it works well so far.

It's not available anywhere. Probably never produced. Although I purchased them online on Discount Tires in summer, I never received them. I had to purchase Blizzaks LT at this size. Good traction on ice/snow. Not very comfortable as any LTs for a lightweight truck.
