    2019 Tundra 5.7l SR5 TRD 4WD DC
    Stage 9 Icon Lift with Full RTX leaf Springs (option 3). Eibach 700 pound springs in front to keep lifted up from the heavy fab bumper. Maxed out in front.

    I noticed a couple of weekends ago that the shop that did my lift, left my brake line just hanging without bolting it back down to the rear differential. So, I'm guessing for the last year and a half, it's been like that. I also am missing a bracket to hold the ABS lines onto the rear differential. Spoke to Toyota and after a week, they found it and said it'll be 200+ bucks because it comes with some sensor. Time to look at junk yards...

    Anyways, my question is with the 3" lift I have with the Icon Stage 9, will this Coachbuilder Brake/ABS relocaton Kit be long enough to support any flexing that the differential may run into when I go offroad? I don't do any rock crawling, but there were a couple of times I had to ride one side of that mountain road and flexed pretty good.

    I was initially going to replace the two rear center brake lines that bolt to the rear differential with longer ones to account for any flexing or dropping. But the Coacbuilder kit is alot cheaper.

    Anyone have experience with going off road with the Coachbuilder kit? or would you recommend changing out the rear center brake lines with longer ones so it could still be bolted to the rear differential and have some slack?

    yeah. Those were the brake lines I was looking at if I went that route. It just got expensive with labor at the shop. they'd have to replace brake lines, bleed the lines and add new fluid. I've read in another threat that it was easy to do, but I've never bled the system all the way. I've changed out brake pads and rotors and had to pump the brakes to get the air out, but that's about it. They said it was easy though....

    Yea it's not too difficult at all. Plenty of upsides to doing the lines over the bracket but up to you.

    Yeah. I called and spoke to him. He is hecka nice. He asked me to raise the rear and let the rear differential drop. Measure how much the rear shocks dropped and see how much space is between the bottom of the brake line and the bracket on the rear differential. The rear shocks dropped about 15.5 inches. And there was about 2-2.5 inches of space between the brake line and bracket. he said it should work. Their kit allows 2.25 inches.

    I also spoke to Boss 4x4 and they thought that it would work also.

    So I'm going the cheaper route first. install it and test it out on some back roads to try and make it flex. See if I have some slack in the lines.

    David gave me an pretty cool explanation about the rear differential that I never thought of before. he said it's like a see-saw. The pumpkin in the middle of the differential is the middle of the see-saw that really doesn't go anywhere. Only the outside where the tires are will drop. The middle doesn't move much. I'm no mechanic (but I want to be on when I grow up), but sounds right.

    I also am running Sumo Springs as my Bump Stops in the rear. So that's a few inches taller than stock bump stop. And a lot more solid. I'm hoping that'll prevent it from dropping too low when flexing.
