Leave it to me to save a few pennies and create for work for myself…but quite pleased with the end results!

Wanted to help out the tired old headlights on my son’s (and mine, really) pickup, but didn’t want to go whole hog. Found a great deal on a later model set from a forum member (black back, halogen with LED strip).

Then ordered a set of Fahren LEDs from Amazon that seemed to get good reviews here and there.

Ihacker was really helpful. I messaged him and asked which harness I would need, and he pointed me to another vendor since he didn’t have it in stock, and it was only a $15 piece. That was backordered, so I waited.

Meanwhile the shipper was unkind to my headlights, and they arrived with two broken tabs. I found this extremely helpful…I’m a plastic welder now!

I actually embedded little nails in there as “rebar.” Solid fix.

First time taking off the grill, etc…not too bad with YouTube.

Then had an electrical problem. With the harness in the fuse box the truck wouldn’t start, and the LED still would not work…long story short, I had missed the part where you insert the original 10a fuse into the harness (if you’ve done it you know what I mean).

All this and 100+ degrees in TX. Also. It feeling well, so only worked a little at a time.

Thanks again @iHacker for his generous advice, and to @CPrimeau for the after sale help.

I get by with a little help from my friends!

Just need to adjust them when it gets dark…but man, not only looks good, but visibility is 110% better!
