    Rule of thumb is same length of thread engagement as diameter of the threads. M12 studs should get 12mm of thread engagement to be safe.

    Pull wheel, measure stud. Add length of spacer to OEM stud length and order a stud as long or longer than that.

    You can also do extended studs with open ended lug nuts, if not in a rust prone area.
