3 degrees of separation, do you ever get tired of NCIS filming in your vicinity?

I'm pretty numb to the filming thing, Atlanta is the new hotspot going on for a decade or so now. But I'm curious what it's like for other people, elsewhere.

I've been tired of every film crew everywhere for about a couple of decades. It's not the filming itself, it's the people involved.

Yeah, I've gotta watch my tongue around my neck of the woods. Every 3rd or 4th person you meet works in the industry in some way/shape/form.

I revisited it one because someone linked this snippet at some point this month. 20 minutes in the life of 'back then' with Brad Nowell and Lou Dog.

Initial calibration on the yellowbox? I'm going from whatever stock is for 4x4 to 4.56 and stock size tires to cooper xlt at3 285/75R16 on 16x7.5 wheels. Per GPS I'm tracking about 60 when going roughly 66-67 MPH. Looks like by default all dip switches are OFF. I can hunt down the table and try to do some math but I could also take a starting point from one of you as potentially good enough? Hopefully I plug it in and it's just "better" and "close enough" for now?

Whats 10mph? Pretend its right and save big money on fuel costs, just keep OD off under 50.

when you pull into the left lane, you've instantly got lots of wiggle room to pass legally-ish.

The extra rpm will let it start to sing. Any extra load will just make it better.

It's not bad as-is, but I tend to drive extra grampa style and piss off the people behind me. Though the squatty potty suspension is a big part of that, bumps beyond "tiny" tend to bottom out the front cause it's max low to avoid more than 3" of squat.

But deaver leafs are waiting on the install so exciting times.

I bitched at the asphalt guys repaving my neighborhood while on the bike, gave the forman a 12 pk (6 guys not counting the truck drivers) in a cooler and made sure everyone saw, told him to tell them if they make the main road double smooth i'd bring em 24 as soon as im impressed. They've smoothed the main offenders, but havent paved yet. Told the guy running the zamboni brush truck he's got an extra $20 to keep the gravel off the main road & he's cool too.

No, he said they were going to do their best, and they've been offered other perks, so they'd take their time (lots of super sensitive golf carts and sxs's). Which is fine. This is on the counties dime, since we dont have a neighborhood gate.

Not in any way proud of it, but we have/had a internment camp local to us on the mountain, but I’ve never checked it out. To me it’s mainly a mile marker on the road up, but maybe I should give it more thought and get some more info and educate the kids about it next time we go up.

    How about switch 1?

For now, on my 285/75R16's spec at 32.56 on 8" rim (mine are 7.5) vs 30.6 stock and 4.56 gears to 3.90 or 3.91 stock I'm picking pretty close to 1.1 correction factor so I'm going switch 6 on and all others off. Might play with 10 on if that's a bit slow still.

Anyone experiment with 1 on vs off? Any suggestions there? 1 on means square signal, more digital-esque?

This looks like a great time! I’d suggest you don’t post it on its own thread, or you’ll get a bunch of random people tagging along.

Our desert rats will appreciate this video. As someone that has never spent any time there, I found this to be very educational. This family is lucky. Fast forward to the 7 minute mark if you don't want to watch the entire thing.
