Made a deal on the 4 runner I could not turn down. Sold it for $46,000. It was stickered for $43,000 new in January.
    I owed $38,000 on it.

placed the money down on a SR5 sport 4wd double cab. I wanted a crew max but honestly a DC will do me just fine.
It’s Black. Not real crazy about that but I have had black vehicles before.

had a 100 mile drive home and wow those turbos kick in it’s a beast. Had it in normal drive mode.

Finally got the radio figured out lol so I can change sources and stations now.

I like the ride with the new coil spring rear.
Seats are cloth and pretty comfy. No issues on the drive home.
One thing is they are manual adjust.
Has a lot of features to play with.

the 4Runner was great for what it is. But it was not me. I needed back in a pick up.
    So here it is.
Tires will be soon followed by wheels.

The 4R is a great vehicle, but for me, I just was not enjoying it like I had thought I would.

I am a bigger guy, so getting into and out of the 4R was well entertaining at the least. Now I did have enough room inside that I was not cramped, but not really relaxed either. I never really felt like it was me.

I am much happier back in a pickup. Easier to get in and out of, more room inside, wider console area.

I wanted to like the 4R and I tried but in the end I needed to part ways.

How tall do you have to be for the new Tundra to be hard to get into? I’m 6’ and even if I were several inches taller it still wouldn’t be hard to get into.

Wife had a 19 4Runner and that was a PITA. Super crammed up drivers space.

OP, you will love the Tundra! Especially coming from a 4Runner. WAYY more space and power. (Well maybe not rear space due to the DC but yeah.)

True on the double cab but when I raise the rear seats there is a ton of room in the utility compartments.

About the only thing I place back there anyway is hunting gear, coats, a hoodie etc during colder weather.

Welcome back my friend. I guess I should follow that with to the show that never ends.

Now mod it and keep it for a while. I'll be looking in 2033. We can compare notes.

    Lol yes.
It was wet today...going up an onramp I spun 35's through like 3 or 4 gears with zero hesitation lmao. Could have gone more easily. The low end power this truck makes is unreal compared to my 17 Tundra. The small turbos spool fast and give instant boost.
