Backlight tap to headlight

Hi everyone, I just got my DD SSC2s these have a backlight integrated on them but my wiring will go to my switch panel. So the red and black will connect on the switch panel and the blue wire that allows that backlight to be on will be left.

Is there a way to tap into headlight with the blue wire so the backlight only turns on when my headlights turn on?

 

You could use an add a fuse for the low beam fuse box instead of tapping the headlight wiring itself?

 

That sounds about exactly what I need to do. Sorry I’m new to wiring specially cutting and adding new wires. Thank you so much you just saved a tundra

Finally got around to installing diodes SSC2 and as suggested I hooked the lights to the headlight fuses with the add a fuse and the backlight works perfect!
