I had a loose battery tip over and spill acid on the factory spray-on bedliner. Unfortunately, I did not notice the spill until the next day. I have cleaned the spill with baking soda 2 times to neutralize the battery acid. However, the bedliner where the battery acid spilled is now shiny, soft and tacky. Can the affected part of the bedliner be repaired? Would the warranty cover the repair?

You should ask your dealer, but if they know you spilled acid in the bed you know the answer is NO. I would ask, not mentioning the acid unless it is clear there was a spill. Reason I would try- There have been some issues with the bedliner peeling due to the composite beds. I even heard something about Toyota not doing bedliner now due to the problems, but that is not verified info.

Tacoma uses same composite type beds. Ive seen vids of folks peeling the bedliner off tacomas very easily with their fingers, so ask and see what they say.

I think you have the correct info on the bed liner. My truck was built 4/29 and still sitting at the factory. I heard it was due to mine having the spray in bed liner and there being issues with it.

Mine was built 5/14 and delivered 6/10 with the spray in liner. No issues with the spray liner yet, but I haven’t used the bed for anything demanding.

Well I guess I just suck and can’t ever get my truck delivered… I really don’t know what the deal is. Very frustrating to see though how short waits some people have vs others. No one said life was fair though… I am thinking of abandoning my present course and just trying to find another. I am losing faith it will ever actually get moving.
