Hi I'm Arty in Randolph, MA. Brand new member! Searching for tech advice. I have installed the new OEM Toyota shift cable. Have the shift lever on the column in neutral. Have the lever on the transmission in neutral. When I install both ends of the cable, I cannot move my shift lever. The new cable slides easy when disconnected at both ends. The transmission lever moves easy with nothing attached. The gear shift lever moves easy with nothing attached. All 3 components slide easily. When I attach the top end and bottom end of the new cable with both levers in neutral position, I cannot move my gear shift lever! Hope there's someone out there who has the solution. Thanks in advance, Arty

Embarrassing mistake on my part. Obviously it's the first time ever doing this repair. I installed the bell housing bracket upside -down! Shifts great now! I love these sites. Always find great tech advice. Thanks again, Arty
