Hey new member from NJ here. 2020 SR5 CrewMax that I leased for 2 years and then bought out at end of lease a month ago. Now looking into some upgrades so I thought this would be a great way to get some opinions and recommendations from people who would know best. Love the truck! Welcome from Houston, TX. I used to live in New Brunswick area before I ended up on the other side of the country for work. Great looking truck and get your wallet/credit card ready cause you are in for a super wild ride here for suggestions.
Get a set of cat plates, if not already.

Welcome and greetings from Minnesota. Cat shields are a must have to at least discourage those thieving dirt bags from ruining your day. Auto vent shields and tinted side windows look good on a silver truck too.

Thanks all! This might sound naive but people actually steal parts off of exhaust systems on Tundras?

Catalytic converters are being stolen off just about any sort of vehicle these days. I'm assuming the Tundras are not immune to any of their shenanigans.
Our vehicles sit out on the street a lot and I'm surprised our cats are still intact. You'll be okay if you stay out of the big city, I hope.

There are 4 catalytic converters under the truck. (Jack pot for thieves) The sheriff’s office from each county in MN issues stickers for each catalytic converter with a S/N that becomes etched onto each converter by a chemical reaction. The S/N is on file and can be used to track and match the stolen converters to a specific vehicle to aid law enforcement with criminal prosecution. The catalytic converter sticker is free for 15 high target vehicles listed in the state. Additionally, I have installed Valhalla Cat shields on my Tundra. Thats how bad catalytic converter theft is in Minnesota. Oh, and if you try to buy new ones from the dealer, be prepared for an exceptionally long wait.
