Hi all. Recently bought 2019 Tundra tss. Ordered Lasfit interior Leds to switch out. Love their products and have installed many products for wife’s 4Runner. Never a problem. Installed other brands previously on other vehicles and took about 5 minutes. 2 hours in and the driver side front dome light is bent and the light won’t attach and the rear dome light is smoking when both are installed. When one side is lit, it’s fine. When both lights are on, one side starts smoking and a burning smell emits. Is it possibly too much voltage or too strong or am I just a complete moron? Inviting all opinions or comments. Thanks much!

    one thing at a time

The dome housing is bent or the lens claps are bent keeping it from engaging? Also you said front driver dome, you mean the front map light?

did you try putting the original bulbs back in and still have the same issue?

I do not think it's too much voltage but maybe a failing / faulty LED? or a bad connection

You have pics? Bulbs used, housing, lens's.

I would say it looks like the lens clamps are bent keeping it from engaging. Yes front map light. The 2 clickers next to the sunglasses holder. Original bulb won’t fit in the map light now. The other side has an led and functions properly.

I just got home from work and will try in a little bit with another bulb in the back seat. I emailed Lasfit and they said a fuse is blown, but it wouldn’t light up and smoke I don’t think it that were the case. I’m thinking maybe I damaged the bulb forcing it in and will try some of the other 8 I purchased. I bought the…

Update: It’s been fixed! Faulty lights were causing the smoke. Let them run for about 8 minutes to get good and hot. No issues.

Took apart the roof console to access the map lights. Pushed the pins back down so I could get a good connection.

Lasfit emailed me back and is sending me replacement bulbs for the defective ones. Still not disappointed in their products. I am currently on the John ordering fog light switchback LEDs.

Thanks for the reply and help Taco Spike! Glad to be part of the community.
    Cheers!
