So, what actually nuts are they talking about? Is it a matter of simply making sure they are torqued correctly?

I called my dealer, yep my truck is on the list, and have an appointment for July 1st. I checked online with the other dealer in town and they do not have any appointments until July 2nd. I don't know why so long for an appt., COVID ? Holiday weekend? or did everyone hear about the recall before me?

46,000 Tundras on the safety recall, sounds like the vast majority of trucks built.

    Don’t understand the wait times.

My local dealer said bring it in anytime. No need for an appointment; it’s less than an hour of work and requires no new parts.

I took it out there right away and got it done. Not going to say it was a non-issue, but it almost was.

This doesn't constitue a "Major Recall" in my opinion. When I hear major recall, I'm thinking stuff is exploding, engine is blowing up, power train components need to be replaced, etc... This is a less than 50 minute check to torque down 8 bolts. Let's not be too crazy, the bronco is having engines suffer catastrophic failures, and various other legitimate problems are popping up in other models. It's some improperly torqued bolts.

I posted this on the other thread also would not consider this a big deal. My close friend who is a member on here as well recently bought a 2021 Ford Raptor built in February 22 by the time he picked it up in late March at a dealer that was out of state and drove it home it had 11 yes 11 recalls. As a former Tundra owner he was actually joking about how is Ford will be a bucket of bolts while I still will be driving my Tundra. Truth is he loves the truck and Ford is taking care of it so he's not worried. Everyone talks about the Ford Bronco recalls concerning the hard top and the 2 years worth of delays which are still happening however they also had a MAJOR recall on the 2.7 engines with bad valve bodies causing the engines to blow up heard different numbers so I can't say for sure but some reports say it effected 70K Broncos. This latest recall on the Tundra just having the dealer tighten a few bolts not as catastrophic as people are making it out to be.

The drive shaft dropped out of my Ram back in 2015 because of a lack of lock tite on the bolts to said drive shaft. I was driving on a parkway going about 55 mph when I heard a boom and the truck completely locked up on me. I couldn’t pull over of anything. Luckily the car behind me swerved and missed me.

I would take it in quickly.

In case they don't do it after checking your vehicle, run a paint marker down the bolts to the housing to mark them. I did that immediately after I got the truck from the dealer. I had seen the guy on YouTube who's assembly came apart, so did it when I picked my truck up. I just poke my head under every few days or so when I do my normal walk around and check them for movement.
