Yeah, it’s Disappointingly bad. My other vehicle choice was a ram with 19 speaker Harmon Kardon audio. Talk about two ends of the spectrum

I'm right now waiting on a 2021 trd pro... Bumming about the sound system now and having second thoughts!

Replace the Head Unit and/or the speakers and you'll be fine.

Yeah I will be down the road probably dropping about 3000 in my 21 Pro. It won’t be the first time I did it. You want a good system in this awesome truck.

I'm half way to the $3000 and don't even have speakers yet. But I don't need the neighborhood to know who I am so the budget setup from James should do the trick.

Yeah it will do the trick. The extra money comes into play if you replace the headunit.

I've had 5 Sequoias (sorry - I couldn't find a similar thread there) since 2008, all with the premium JBL system, and each one was worse than the one before. They make you feel like your ears are blocked. Tinny, no bass, and changing the EQ doesn't help. I was hoping the person that mentioned the possibility of bad wiring would deliver a solution, but I think they are just bad systems. I'll keep hunting for a solution.

you aren’t wrong. The jbl system is terrible. Don’t understand how they would consider it a “premium” sound system. Best bet is to completely gut it and start fresh. That’s what i did to our 2017 limited.

Same. 2020 TRD OffRoad Limited...midlevek audio, not JBL. I had better sound in the ragged out kids 2005 Corolla with $120 stereo and couple blown speakers. I paid about $2000 for pro install dual 10" subs, RF amp, and new speakers all around. It sounds freaking AWESOME loud and clear, but I'll probably replace head unit to get more of a surround sound. It's more sub in the back, mid and high up front, right now, and it sounds like head unit causes that.
