Hey guys, just got a 2020 Tundra CM SR5 TRD Sport on friday. I was messing around with all of the settings this morning for sound and realized, there's barely sound coming from the rear speakers. I moved the fade/balance to just the rear and it goes extremely quiet and almost sounds like just sound coming from tweeters. But when I move back to center, I get the front speakers back and full sound. My question, are the rear speakers really that weak or could there be some connectivity or setting that is off?

Note: I do know how bad stock speakers are but this is a major difference just from the front to the rears.

Stock speakers suck, but u should hear more than almost nothing. You’re under warranty, so just make an appt or upgrade the system. @james@tech12volts can point you in the right direction.

Rears should be as loud as the fronts with fader turned all the way to rear and sitting in back seat. Have you sat there or opened the doors and checked sound or just judging from front seat?

Time to go to the dealer.

I swapped all mine out with JL Audio.
    My system sounded like shit.

A day before they must have pushed an update to my head unit because it sounded great but I had already made up my mind to change the speakers and amp

Yeah i was hoping maybe there was a setting I missed or something. I'm going to bring it in to the dealer. I'm not really looking to upgrade this system but I at least want the stock set up to sound like it should! Is there any way to "reset" the sound system or just disconnect the battery? Not that I really expect that to change too many things...

    Hi Welcome.

Never solved it. Dealer had just told me it's just how it is. Mines a lease though and I turn it in in October so I decided to just ride it out.
