EC430B0F-A73B-4AB8-8045-93050267BCBA.jpg Both of the headlights have that part broken off. I was wondering if anyone here has a solution to this part being broken off. Or should I just not even bother with them?

How do these light compare to projector still headlights?

I just saw it. I think you can get the pair of the TRD Pro Led headlights for around $450 brand new. Some of the guys that have them can give you better updates on pricing and where they got theirs from.

I got my set about $600 new, shipped. Might luck out on sales that run every so often and hit the $500 mark +\-. I like the pattern and brightness better than the halogens. I do think they under perform compared to the Tacoma LED’s (but they had 2 more years to design those as they didn’t come out till 2020+ model years) and the tundras are over half the price so can’t complain too much. I paid about $1350 for my Tacoma ones in 2020 + a harness.

I wouldn’t bother with them but if you want to save a few bucks and fix them yourself, that’s an option. Or don’t fix them and they possibly rattle / shake when driving which would personally drive me crazy. But might not as much as I could be over imagining it.

Yes. There are LED’s that face down and up that shine light toward the reflective parts outward.
There is no ‘drop in bulb’. Most all OEM led type offering are sealed units. You cannot change them. Even most aftermarket led offerings.
If they go out you have to buy a entire new headlight.
You could stick them in the oven, open them up, replace the diode board and reseal them but…. Doubt few people would do that even if you could buy replacement parts or if there are many aftermarket parts for them. or piece them together using after market parts not as a kit and manage you’re own way through it.
A few places have certain parts like diode dynamics does for the Tacoma headlight with the led drl strip in amber vs white or turn signal switchbacks… again, have to actually open the headlight lens, disassemble and so on.
