I was wondering… is there a thread on changing flasher models on 2004 tundras so I can use led flasher bulbs without hyper flashing? I cannot seem to get the module out from under the dash …. I’d appreciate any info or video footage that explains what to do. Ty for welcoming me into this group. Love my tundra.

    Welcome
May want to search just in the first gen section and see what comes up. I know others have done it previously I'm just not sure of any write ups. Get the diode dynamics module or similar. Cheap ones suck.

Edit- here's the best I got.

Thanks. It’s fairly easy to locate but that module didn’t want to come out. I’m off today and will explore it better in decent light. Thanks for recommending one. I got one off Amazon, but probably the cheaper one. Thanks again. R

You really just need to pull at the correct tab to remove the flasher relay. I pulled and yanked while prying what I thought at first was the correct tab to release, to no avail. Reassessed and found the right tab to release and it slid right off.

Thanks. About to tackle it after coffee ))). Is tab above, on bottom, or one of sides? Couldn’t really get a good look at the evening I attempted.

First you have to remove the flasher relay box still connected to wires from the little clip it's retained in. To do so, you have to push up on the little clip lever in between the wings behind the flasher by reaching around, pressing up with a finger, and at the same time applying forward pressure on the flasher to slide it forward-and-out. The clip is top-mounted on the flasher to retain it.

Where you gotta press is gonna be the little plastic lever thingy that will stick out in the middle of the retention clip on the flasher relay. See arrows here. You'll really have to reach to do it, will require some hand model skills. This is the hardest part because it's tough to contort your body to under the wheel, reach an arm in there, and press-up-on-the-clip and push-the-relay-forward at the same time with enough pressing action to release the clip.

Once you slide the flasher relay off the retaining clip that keeps it attached to the vehicle, you then release it from the wiring by pressing on the little black lever on the wire harness.
