So, I had some extra LED lights and decided to replace the interior driver and passenger map lights and rear dome light this weekend. The LED's were polarity sensitive and I had to reverse one of the map ones to get it work, but the front lights went in fine. The second rear dome light also wasn't working on first try and, when I pulled it and then reversed it and plugged it in, all the interior lights went out as I plugged it in.

I found the 7.5A dome fuse and it was blown, so I replaced it and all of the interior lights were working again, so I figured problem was solved. Never started up the truck after replacing the lights. I went out this morning and the truck wouldn't start. The electric windows roll up, headlights come on, dome lights still work, radio works, but no sound at all when turning the key and no display (speed, average miles, etc.,) above the steering wheel, other than the gear selection.

I thought maybe the truck was dead and tried jumping it, but no change. Truck won't crack, no buzzing or anything. Any suggestions as to what the cause might be? Could a second fuse have also blown? Just from replacing an incandescent light with an LED light?

    Thanks for any thoughts. Darren

Nevermind. Sorry. I re-traced my steps and had put the 7.5A fuse that I borrowed back in the wrong fuse slot. :(
