It's great. No complaints. I like that I can roll it up all the way and it doesn't block the rear window.

 

South Florida so no lower extremes but a lot of higher extremes (heat and sun. Lots of rain)

 

I'm just spamming today it seems. My tonneau is a snug lid. Served me well for 16 years, still does. It just no longer opens. My rack needs required I bolt through that thing and trim the back so I could open the tailgate. My only point is anticipate future needs. But a hard tonneau is bullet proof and water proof.

 

I'll tell you that my olde lady bought a soft tri-fold for her 21 taco and it lasted 1 year before one of Pissburgh's denizens cut through the fabric looking for scag money.

Buy once, cry once. Get you a rigid tri-fold and sleep the sleep of the saved and thankful.

 

So far I like my truxedo better than my old access vanish , fits inside the bed better for use with my rack

 

Well. I guess you don't have to worry about ice build up, which is the only thing I haven't liked about my MX4, folding hard tonneau.

I was more wondering HOW you use your truck.

I avoided a full cap/topper because I need to haul large objects, building supplies, and construction debris on a regular basis.

I avoided the soft roll-up style because I wanted a little more security than they offer.

Didn't even want to mess with an electric rolling cover for reliability reasons

Diamond back was also out because of the need to use the whole bed.

...So the option was a hard, folding tonneau.

Past this, I just wanted to have the most usable bed space, and retain the factory tie-down rails.

Bakflip MX4 was the winner!

It has been exactly what I wanted/needed. And both my BIL and FIL have since replaced their tonneau covers with Bakflip hard folders.

Now you just have to nail down your wants and needs in a cover.

 

I got the Gator tri-fold. Live in PA but not have to deal with the Pissburgh's denizens Hagrid has to deal with. So far it handled any snow amount we got and very happy with it. No leaks

 

Diamondback. All day long if you value the things you put in your truck bed. Love mine!

 

Well. Was about to pull the trigger on a truxedo when I came across this on marketplace for $200. Only missing the 10 bolts which I found at Lowes. The foam strip which I haven't sources yet and the 2 hoses that I also haven't sourced. Not a bad find.

I would second all of your likes on this one.
My only gripe is that you need to open and reseat every time you open the tailgate. I would buy again.

That price is killer for sure... Mine was only $900 more

 

Mine was on when I purchased used. Truxedo loPro....love it. Easy to use, works well and best of all it has been completely weatherproof, no leaks or issues in any weather, rain or snow sitting on it.

 

I really like the BackFlip Revolver for looks and rigidity. Until the temperatures took a dive in Wisconsin and it wouldn't roll up, or if I left it rolled overnight it would not roll shut.
BackFlip advertises it as good at any temperatures but I'm telling you otherwise.

It keeps water out very well! Plus it's rated to hold 500 lbs, so my boys can sit(climb) on it and I don't worry about it failing.
It only weighs 70lbs and is easy to take on and off with two people.
The lock comes blank and you key it to your main key so there's no extra keys on your ring.

Only con so far is that it's a hard wedge style so hauling anything taller then the bed side means you either have to take it off or have it sticking up.
