    More or less a tactical speaker, like this;

    But only certain models have music initiated light matching, it’s the 187……..

    So many options...another is to wire an air horn solenoid wire to the whip brake light wire and be the ultimate party buzz killer.

    True but it's like the one time I ate half a gummy and said I didn't feel anything then was told to eat the other half...6 hours later I wake up in a strange bed.

    No one forced me but they could've warned me about it :p

    Yeah. I saw. Life events are consuming those funds for flood irrigation diversion so my home doesn't sink. :( I would love to get a couple, but the timing is just off.

    ‘Cause I was waiting for the 15% off everything and, for someone that’s bright and understands these things, like you or @alb1k :boink:, to spec all the parts I need.

    I want a 4’ 187 whip to mount horizontally to the back of my rack. And I left space for it on my SwitchPro. I don’t mind if there’s 2 mounts in the same location— one horizontal, one vertical— someone tell me what to buy. :rolleyes:

    I think it comes with all you need.
    You will need an extra mount if you want the 2 in one location.
    Also the dust caps

    Sunny and I have the same general plan. Originally, I was thinking about bolting the magnet mount onto a locking 90 degree pivot. Two problems - finding or building the pivot hinge and, a single mount point for vertical and horizontal.
    I think with a single, I may want to mount in the traditional / vertical way in the center of the rack. That would not work with a pivot mount setup. It seems the way to go with this is mount one magnet base for upright where you want, and mount one magnet base horizontally, where it centers the whip across the back of the rack. Center the lighted part, not the whole thing or it will look off center. For horizontal, the end and perhaps the middle of the whip will need some brackets to push into so it doesn't flop around. Like a quickfist rubber mount or something like below. The horizontal magnet base is going to need a 90 degree bracket, I'll probably find something suitable at a welding supply. i.e. - 3/16" steel drilled for mounting to the rack and a hole for the base stud. What are those base studs? 1/2"? 5/8"? I haven't seen dust caps for these but those are a great idea for both of the connectors on the Y harness when not in use.

    EDIT: 3' is a potential good length for this idea as well.

    Oh yeah - from the site, Sunny, probably whatever 187 you decide on and a second magnet base. Those individual magnet bases are designed to upgrade the old air chuck quick connect style, so they don't come with the mounting studs on them. Maybe the company can add those, or they will need to be sourced somewhere. Unless you use u bolts to secure the female part of the mount to the rack. I don't think that would be as clean and you want a bit of space from the rack I think (1/4-3/4") whatever the rubber supports stand it off.[IMG]

    If you are already going to use a quick fist then just use more and eliminate the need for a 2nd mount for horizontal position? (Thinking out loud here)
    I'm still trying to decide if I want 2 short ones mounted on top of my rack, or 1 long one. (Probably gonna go the 2 route)

    This is a very good idea, and a much simpler execution.
