All good. We all have our slow days.

There's still some questions that I have too.
    • Is it only the whips, or are harnesses and power switches discounted as well?
    • How flexible are they? I ride mountain trails with low trees and I'm sure these would take a hit at times. Will they flex and move enough, or am I going to break them?
    • Do they have to be rigged to a 12v supply, or are there harness options so something like this could be used for a kayak? Are they waterproof enough for marine use?

@FrenchToasty has been working hard for the discount but he is not affiliated with the 5150 vendor. So for the technical stuff, please get your info directly from 5150. That way you’re satisfied with your decision… or that 5150 will cover breaks.

Edit: of course, the rest of us will be thrilled if any one that gets these answers, posts them here. :)

Of course, I could just read their features page instead of being a dolt. There's more here --> https://5150whips.com/pages/features but this bit answers the questions I asked.

This is not necessarily the box, buy it gives you an idea. A place for the truck side quick connects to hang out when not in use, or depending on the right size and fit, a place for them to live when they are connected. You would want some rubber grommets to make it fairly water/dust resistant. A blank (no hole) grommet for one side when the whip if off truck.

A type of project box. I don't know Hammond per say, but it seems to me something could be configured for a clean set up. Otherwise your quick connect ends are flopping or zip tied somewhere it seems. If you are doing 2 flags, and something like this, you are doing it twice.

And, assuming I whip it, you can always wait for me to Guinea pig the thing to see if you like it.

Oh, gotcha. I thought maybe you had something in mind with the connectors in the box, ready to go. I see, I still have to put in some work.:angrygirl:

After I looked at the controller harness and the quick connect on the ends of the whips, I realized you don't need your own (terminal connections)

Which brings us to size...seems like 4' or 6' are the only good options in my mind, depending on how much height you want and how high it's mounted.

Or, I should get a tape and a visual on my truck :monocle:

Hum. Great on height, but looks huge all lit. If I go I'm going off a rack, so I may re-think length.

Additionally, we probably don't need sweatshirts and coozies, but someone has to want that sweet bag as well.
