I've watched several videos on doing a drain and fill. However, I cannot find the fill plug on my 4.6. Can someone point it out to me? Thanks.

Passenger side of transmission, on the tail shaft housing for 2WD.

Passenger side of transmission, front near bell housing for 4WD.

Wait...what? It doesn't? :p The 4.6 is a great motor, we have 2nd Tundra w/ the 4.6 and it's amazing on the highway and all around great truck. The 5.7 is just to make the local Ford/GM/Dodge guys jealous. :muscleflexing:

One key to finding the fill plug is that it has the letters 'WS' embossed on it, the type of ATF Fluid Toyota requires.

Oh, and a related subject, when just shopping around for a replacement transmission filter kit (reading reviews) I came across some review about a replacement (aftermarket) filter that was thinner than original in the four corner areas where the bolts hold it in place, the poster tightened down the bolts and ended up breaking his transmission because of this - a cheaper aftermarket filter ended up costing him $2700 for a used trans. plus $$$ more for install and a week of vehicle down-time. So watch out for those 'cheap Chinese' parts - plus don't just force bolts, if they don't feel right stop and figure out what is going on...
