Velcro Residue on Moonroof Sunshade

I placed some velcro patches on the sunshade and it didn't hold up too well. I took them down and now have residue from the velcro on the headliner material. Any ideas on what I could use to take the residue off without making the headliner worse? I do have a small steam cleaner I could try but wondering if anyone has had this issue before I go experimenting. Thanks in advance!
