I’ve had mine installed for about a week now using the TackForm magnetic air vent mount.

Still working up on setting it up just right, but currently have everything set up for transmission pan temps, TPMS, intake air temp, speed (little bit higher up towards my FOV), fuel mileage, coolant temp, and trip information

Unfortunately, I really don't know yet. I just filled up a to a full tank yesterday and I'm not doing a great deal of commuting on one vehicle. It may be some time before I hit 1/4 tank on the Tundra.

I will report any findings here once I've had time to make the proper observations and figure out a fix, assuming it won't read correctly on a boosted vehicle.

to further belabor my MPG issue...

    this morning

24 mile drive mostly hwy 59mph

    indicated on SG3 - 27.45

    my usual avg = 17.8

    ~35% difference.

I am eager to see what the remedy is - as I have finagled just about everything on the unit.

Seems strange unless they made an error with their logic and formulas which is likely with a new product.

    agreed

even when I change the fuel flow rate manually, it does not alter the MPG rate.

I hope yours is off by the same amount - as tuning for the 650's is what is tricking the ODB output. and I'm guessing you have very similar fueling tables to me.

Most likely. I would expect they are close in scaling. If the fill up %correction isn't working I would think they missed something in how the MPGs are calculated. I did notice "Fuel Cutoff" now has an Auto setting; the old model required an entry to be made, hence my early question a few posts back.

Good to know. Every little bit of info helps.

I may install my old setup until this gets sorted out.

    not yet.

I will on this next fillup. and start from scratch.

I assume Scanguage will tell me to do the same.

I'm guessing my mistake was treating just like my SG2.

aside from MPG...it does everything I need/want it to.

I'm on the fence about buying one but will probably pull the trigger on a sale. Mounting location will probably be the unused cubby area underneath the AC controls.

Keep in mind this unit is taller; it is about the size of two of the old units stacked on each other.

Not 100% sure but it has something to do with Open/Closed loop.

Old manual suggested looking at the throttle setting and adding 4. Adjust from there but it looks like it could be off by a little bit and you can still get the correct readings.

One way to test the setting is correct is by ensuring you don't see 9999MPGs when the pedal is being depressed.

No guarantee this will fix anything.

I have an external speaker I no longer use mounted in the location I could put the gauge. Do you think it would fit there?

The one thing I hate is you can't have different layout on each page. All three pages present the same baseline layout.

For the guys that have first hand experience with this new unit. Are you able to get TPMS data on this? It looks like yes is the answer, but I always like to double check!

    This.

It automatically scans several X-Gauge monitors. Tire Pressure and Tire Temps came right up for all four corners and the spare.

I'll list out the other monitors when I get a chance to fire up the unit again.

Based on what I've read you're doing everything correctly. The 'Fill Up' procedure should adjust the fuel flow calculation, as well as manually setting the fuel flow correction in the adjust menu. It appears that correction may not be factored in for one of the fuel flow calculation the SG3 performs. I'll work on addressing that in a firmware update ASAP.

That would certainly be nice. Something that may help though is that you can swipe up/down on any screen with two fingers to raise/lower the screen brightness. That will at least save navigating to the display settings to change the brightness.

This is correct! The SG3 now also has an 'Auto' setting where it will figure this all out for you.

Finally, if anyone has any questions feel free to ask - I'll do my best to answer them.
