Mike What shocks are you running?

Btw Accutune wont rebuild Icons. John said they are Fox and King exclusively now. He was not able to make arrangements with Icon to get the needed materials to rebuild them.

    On Bilstein 5100s right now.
More lift height won’t help, as when compressed it’ll still compress to the same location. But better performance coilovers will help with dampening control and I’d likely rub less as I blow through the travel on the 5100s when desert driving.
I really like Accutune! They offer an awesome service.
I ran Icon on my Tacoma, and while I wasn’t unhappy with them, I’ve ridden in trucks with Fox and King and they ride much better in my opinion. I’ll be going Fox, King, or Bilstein 8100 (unless I cave and go LT).

stay away from Bruce and Sunny unless you want to be talked into LT... lol.. btw Joon has an ICON 3.0 coil overs and 2.5 RR Rxt set he is selling. needs a rebuild. $2500, shipping would be extra. Down South will rebuild for appx $800 and The Truck shop is $1210 to rebuild, install and align.

And when you cave, you'll still be going Fox or King. Don't forget ADS, I really like their shocks too.

Lol! I could never stay away from those two.

@joonbug you’ve got stuffs fur sail?
    Do you accept IOU’s? Hahaha.

Ive got a good resource for rebuilds

Hahaha! I know, I know. I’m so torn. The upfront cost for LT is brutal. I could go mid travel+ with:
    Coilovers
    Lowers
    Bypass
(And add all the gussets in the mix).
This is attractive because I can go piece by piece over time. Then have something that still performs really well, just can’t take as big of hits. The kicker: this is my DD, so that’s in consideration as well.

Can check a new activity of my bucket list. Yesterday I went skydiving for the first time. What a wild experience that was!

My buddy who is an avid skydiver messaged our group chat at 11:45am that there was an instructor giving out 7 free tandem jumps and if any of us wanted to go, go now. So I asked him if he was serious, he said yes. Checked with Bre and she’s all “if you want to, let’s go!” So by 12 we were in the truck and headed down.

Got there around 1, and my buddy said “I’m glad you came, in all my years jumping you’re the first to actually take me up on it and come” - that should have been the first indication I didn’t belong there

Fast forward - getting the harness strapped on, meet the instructor - who was nothing but full force sarcasm all the way until it was my pre jump lesson, in the plane, moments before jumping haha.

It made the world of a difference that my buddy was able to join our flight, as with his skydiver friends. Everyone on board was nothing but positive and supportive and that made the world of a difference.

They were all solos and stacked closer to the door. We hit altitude and quickly they all were in the door, then with the blink of an eye they were gone. Now I’m staring at the empty fuselage of a plane, with a door open, and 13,000 feet down to the ground. Full fear took over and I was no longer about it but there was nothing I could do. I basically just tipped my head back per the instructions and formed a ball until the instructor pushed us out and I was the most scared I had ever been my entire life. The feeling of falling - and not in a dream - and then still falling faster and faster was insane! Once we hit terminal velocity everything started to feel better and I was having the time of my life! That part was incredible!
He pulled our chute, and we started to glide. He handed me the controls and taught me how to turn. Eventually that got scary as well because he taught me to turn and drop haha so we picked up a lot of speed.
Eventually we made it back to land - safely - where he asked if I would do it again and I promptly yelled NO
The next day (today) I’m thinking maybe I do want to try that again…

Anyways. That’s how it went down!
Absolutely insane! Most intense thing I’ve done! Are there any others here who’ve been skydiving?

Such a clean truck. What kind of MGP do you get with those tires? My 35" Toyo M/Ts weigh 77 lbs so I was thinking about switching to something else.

    Thank you!

Its about the same as with my last set of 35” tires which has surprised me.

I typically average 12-12.5 on the truck’s computer. But that isn’t adjusted for the tire size, based off gps I travel 14% further than recorded. Adjusted I’m a little over 13mpg. This is with stock gears.

Arrived at Sand Hollow! Tomorrow is the start to what trouble I can get in. Lol.

With a few side by sides and a couple atvs’. I’ll be the only truck, so unlikely I’ll have anyone with that can recover me if I get stuck.

Our friend made a wrong turn and we didn’t get to the hard stuff. Then a sxs ran out of gas and a quad overheated. Made for a short run - then went to the lake to cool down considering it’s 106 out today.
Absolutely going back tomorrow to take it on! If I head home without a some bumper damage we didn’t have enough fun! :burp:
Bre wants to hit the road early Sunday. The heat is already getting the best of her, and Moose is not a fan (we’re hanging in the truck with the AC right now lol  I too am not about this much heat)

I’m also the only truck I’ve seen wheeling so far. There’s one really built jeep, but I haven’t seen it off the trailer yet.

Sand Hollow pics! Had a blast wheeling. Yet again started on Wayne’s World, but then somewhere along the way the lead sxs took a wrong turn and we ended up adventuring random trails and exploring. Was a great time! We traversed a little over 20 miles and cruised back to camp in the dark. Was a blast!

Honestly, before I go back for the harder trails I’m thinking rear locker is a minimum requirement. I never got stuck, but there was a section around a corner where I was opposing corners stuffed/drooped and lost traction and kinda had to Austin powers wiggle my way around to get some grip. These 37s made the ledges a cake walk though! So much fun! Haha
