Not sure if this is the right place to post this but, I have a 2008 Toyota tundra limited. When I turn it off and pull the key out of the ignition the radio stays on, the nav stays on, and the clock stays on. Also I can't lock it. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advanced. Ps if you help me I'll be your best friend :)

Wow. Some moderator moved this to the wrong place.

Can't lock it with the key or with the fob?
If the truck thinks your key is still in the ignition, the fob won't lock it, but the key will if you insert it in the outside driver's side door handle. If you hit the lock switch or manual lock rocker on the inside of the door, does the door immediadely unlock?
If you door unlocks itself, then your ignition switch may be faulty.

Can't lock it with the fob. And yes, if I push the lock switch on inside the truck they automatically unlock. I suppoe I should look at getting a new ignition switch. Thanks a million Steve, my hat gos off to ya! And the moderators, Thanks!

No modifications yet... going to start soon. 285k miles
I just had the same problem. Also, my GPS/Navigation/ Radio will not turn off.
For the Key fob issue, I had to replace a modual. No solutions yet for the Radio.

This exact thing happened to me today. I have a 2020 tundra crewmax and when I would push the ignition button to turn off the truck the stereo screen would stay on and I want able to lock the doors. The truck would do its chip 4 tes when you close the door. Driving me insane, I didn't want my battery to drain in this 104 outside temp.

I had a charging adapter plugged into the acc power in the back seat, for whatever reason when something is plugged in there the power on the stereo system stays energized. I disconnected it and problem solved. Sounds stupid but I didn't expect power to keep charging out of that acc charger after ignition tuned off.

Hope this helps someone out. I was already thinking my ignition button was faulty.

    Good luck.
