That’s horrible; and you’re right that’ll effect many, many lives for those around them and the operator themselves for their livelihood.

Yeah, I've been around too many work accidents. The injured guy and his family are obviously affected. But the guy that injured him, the folks around when it happened...
    Hope the injury is recoverable.

So true. I've spent four decades working in two Navy programs that have evolved because of multiple failures resulting in one catastrophic event. The link below details one, but short summary is that eight different things occurred. None of which if it only occurred without the others would have resulted in the loss of lives. I've been fortunate enough to have become good friends with the government lead on the investigation and change implementation for this particular incident. Sadly he passed a few years ago. But he influenced my thinking as a production oriented guy. For the better.

It sucks when another day at the office becomes a life changing event. Like you, wishing peace and healing to those impacted.

I remember very vividly the day I watch my dad almost come to his demise trying to help my uncle unload a stupid heavy safe off the back of a flatbed tow truck………
Everyday I try think about what I’m doing before I execute it.

Understand. It became a tangent. @Leo's first I'm truly sorry you had to experience that. Also more sorry for the driver and his family.
    Positive post to follow.

I had some really good sushi last week. No pictures because I don't want to sit at the sushi bar with a camera. Our Jasmine is in full bloom and the fragrance is permeating the house and the yard. Lightning bugs are lighting up the yard. My asshole rescue dog is learning his boundaries thanks to modern wireless electronics. No EV information to report.

Makes it feel like the used LC we just got was a bargain. I don’t even want to think about dealer mark-ups…

Very somber meeting this morning. So it appears like stated here just a few minor things overlooked/ignored led to this tragic accident
