No problem. There will be a slight market adjustment though.

So, @gosolo... When you do a run like that, are you one knife at a time? Or, more assembly line where you are finishing the same step on several pieces, then move on to the next step?

    BTW... Incredible work!!!

A little bit of both. Some steps lend themselves to doing repeat work, not many, though. If I had a machine shop and more technical equipment (like a cnc or water blast cutter) it would be much easier. I prefer doing this the old school way, which means lots of hand work. I love doing this so I enjoy the labor. When it’s not fun anymore I will quit.

I have a couple 5 gallon cans full of gas. I was thinking of contacting Sotheby’s Auction House and selling one of them. Probably I will offer it up for sale here on the forum first.

Just digging the details on this Ray. How do you keep the plunge grind even on both sides? Do you use a jig, or is it free hand?

I almost did that and then stumbled on a bugout carbon for a screaming deal and went that route.
But I keep looking at that mini crooked river…
And that one looks exactly like the one I was making for myself!

I am really happy with this. When i was ordering, the website showed a 90 day lead time for custom knives. I was ok with it and ordered. 2 days later I got a shipment notification email. I called them to make sure there wasnt a mistake or something and they said its actually shipping. I guess the 90 day lead time was a worst case scenario. I was stoked!

The ONLY thing I would improve on is the pocket clip is way more chrome and reflective than I wanted. The way the website described it, I thought it was more of a flat metallic color like the blade. I may just get a black on since I dont like the reflectivity.

Yeah - black deep carry clip is what I have on my bugout. The mini CR is a great size.

How much harder to pull out of pocket compared to the standard clip is the deep carry clip? Also, is the black finish anodized or is it like a coating?

My BO has the mini deep carry - I don't notice it being any more difficult to pull out of my pocket, but I like not having the top of the knife pocking out - on my older Kershaw Shallot I would have it catch on something every so often and that makes me nervous with a $200+ dollar knife.

The finish is a coating - the clip itself is stainless so you can't anodize it. The edges wear off/get shiny over time, but meh. Like most things I buy - I use them and that means they show signs of use.
