    Whew $$$

…and here I was complaining about the $4K +installation of the TRD kit when it gets released.

That's fair. I have Fox 2.5 DSC on my 4runner and while it's expensive, it rides really really nice. I unfortunately set a high standard for myself with suspensions and now I want the very best for the Tundra.

Please report back on how you like that setup though! I want some real world experience, not just someone trying to push the product on me.

I will for sure, I am coming off custom valves icon cdcv’s with billet arms, aftermarket leafs, etc so I too have a high standard.

I lived there for 10.5 years and spent most of my childhood there, I’ll be there for work- I.e. fishing and exploring all week, then back of Idaho.

Have to agree, I'm sold on the WT's coverage. It would really help with the snow and salt we get here in the winter.

I got the RB20 slimline in bedliner. I think they look awesome and theyre very tough. My girlfriend stood them up against my tailgate while helping me install and the wind blew them down so they hit the pavement. They got “scratched” up pretty good but i just rubbed the spots with my finger and they look brand new. Almost like they self healed, but in reality i was just wiping off the concrete left on them, the finish was unaffected. The GoRhino logo is a little tore up but I plan to remove it anyway.

I have no experience with the powder coated black but id imagine theyre a little more slippery and get dinged up more. I didnt think the bedliner finish was worth the extra cost but I found a 20% off code on here, and Im really glad I went with them.

husky are a better version of the WT, imo. softer more pliable rubber than those stiff WT that never seem to stay form fitting.

Fwiw- Since we get the all weather mats here in Canada, I’d wait until closer to fall & see if you like the oem ones or not. For me, I wish WT mats covered the footrest better. I use it so not being covered by the mat means salt etc can run down behind it on those wet slush salty days anyway. ( wife’s RAV4 has WT) At least oem covers it better, but not up the sides as good.

I had emailed with someone at fox a few months ago and they told me they weren’t expecting anything until at least the end of the year as far as bolt on kits.

I ended up buying a pro comp kit that only just showed up months later, and prob would have went with the icons had I known I’d have waited this long.

Hmm I spoke with a sales rep at King this morning and he told me they're going to produce some kits near the end of this month. Unfortunately those are all spoken for from the bigger shops so I'm not sure how any of us peasants are supposed to get one of these first sets.

I'm really itching to pull the trigger on a full suspension upgrade, but I've slowed myself down until one of the big guys comes out with a complete kit. Seems like the only real options, that are available for install now, are sprinkled with various components from different places.

Hopefully, Icon will come out with a complete Stage 2 kit including springs or maybe OME will come up with something. I've got some experience with OME stuff. They would be awesome to use, but OME is notoriously slow on their development. Probably why their kits are so well regarded, but I don't see OME coming out with a kit for the 3rd Gen until at least the second model year.

It gives me more time to save up...which doesn't hurt anything, I guess. However, patience is not one of my strongest virtues. haha

I have wheels on order that suppose to arrive sometime around October (from Japan). Hoping to get an actual coilover before then but doesn’t look to promising. Seems like some company may release preorders but most probably won’t be getting it delivered till next year for regular consumer. May have to go with spacer lift in the mean time to fit my wheels.

I am very connected at a few of the big dog companies and let me tell you, the kits they are releasing won’t be available fire a very very long time. One of the companies hasn’t dropped their kit yet, and it’s 20+ weeks out once they do and 18 for me since I am an “influencer”. That’s one hell of a wait.

I'm glad being an "influencer" only buys you a 2-week head start. haha.

Regarding the wait, well...it is what it is. Just means that I'm sticking to tame trails for now. It's coming into summer now, which means "every weekend" off-road season is coming to a close for us until September anyways. I'll just patiently wait for Icon, King, or Fox. Likely Icon.

This counts as an accessory right? Had my fwc installed on Friday along with some OME springs for the 80 series land cruiser to support the weight. They do a great job of supporting the 1500# camper. I think it’s actually sitting a bit higher than stock even with the camper on so with water and gear it should be perfect just need some beefier shocks now with a little longer stroke and maybe a bit bigger bump stop. Going to make some calls this week but any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

That looks great! A local shop, Mule, put a FWC on a Tundra and stuck it on their IG page. That poor thing needs new springs badly:

Love the camper, but love the OME spring news more. hahaha. I've heard bits & pieces of certain springs from the LC 80 Series working on the Tundra, but not from anyone who has actually done it. Nice!

Rating is a little irrelevant for us as they are rated for 80 series land cruiser. Can't say I would recommend it unless you plan to put some significant weight in the back. They have 3 other weight rated springs available though for the 80 series.

You will need longer shocks as well. The stock TRD OR shocks are about 1.5" short. I'm trying to figure out the collapsed length of the stock TRD OR shocks right now to find some that will work. The extended length appears to be about 29.5" based on the photos the tech took that did the install after the springs were put on.

call Michael at adventure motor sports in Kc, you’ll also need a few other parts. My lift from them is rear dobinson springs, dobinson rear shocks, new bumps, extended brake lines and panhard bar. Super easy to put in airbags when you have the shocks done

How are you liking this after a little while? I've been looking at them and they have a 15% off sale right now. Just trying to figure out if its worth the $$ over the cheapo ones?

I've got it. It's great quality and fit. The rubber odor took about 4 weeks to dissipate. I'd go for it.

I’ve been very happy with it so far. As @hairychestedfrog mentioned, the rubber smell takes about a month to dissipate.

I'm also running ARB 80 series coils and have been running 80 series IMS rear shocks from Dobinsons and they have been doing great. We're a dealer for them and work with them all the time. I'd be happy to shoot you a quote if you're interested.

For reference, I'm also going to be running a camper on mine so we're going for similar builds and think the IMS kit will be great long term.
