Hello, I recently purchased a rough county 3.5 tundra lift kit. It has strut spacers for the front, shocks and blocks for the rear. I have not installed the kit yet, my question is: if it’s a 3.5 inch lift, shouldn’t the strut spacers measure 3.5 inches? I am thinking maybe they sent the wrong ones, mine are just over 2 inches. Any help will be appreciated, thanks

No, thats the correct measurement. To achieve lift in the front on the Tundra (when using spacers) the numbers don't directly correlate. Meaning: I'm running coachbuilder shims to correct driverside lean... the shims only measure out at 0.5" thick, but when in use, they apply ~1" of lift accordingly.

Apparently my kit has strut spacers and strut preload spacers, will the preload spacers make it ride rough?, I am thinking of getting lifted struts instead

yes that will affect the ride quality, I'd say get their lifted struts, or if you can spare the change, pickup some Bilstein 6112s (whole coilovers) which will ride significantly better.

    Too many, but not enough....
That rough country lift is aptly named since the combo of spacer and preload will definitely stiffen your ride, by how much will depend on what suspension you have now. Not a fan of the rough country stuff, but it does work and it is very well priced. If you wanted better ride quality and have the wallet for it, you could go to a coilover like previously mentioned. 3.5 inch lift is at that point where a coilover lift is pretty maxed out but too low for a subframe type lift.

If you are dead set on the 3.5 inch then you can consider the Ironman suspension kit, its a coilover that is preset at 3.5 inch. You will almost certainly need new UCA's as well. If you were to drop to 2.5 inch, it would be considerably cheaper to achieve and would have much less impact on driveability/wear/alignment, etc. Just my 2 cents.
