I saw photos of the blue with the lock symbol being red. Fine with me.

My "Door" lock symbol is red all the time to help ID the difference between lock and unlock. The real surprise was the "window" lock button. That is blue then turns red when activated.

Which I guess I can live with. It's not a super big deal, but just threw me off when I ordered a blue lighted switch panel and received one with mostly blue and one Oddball red one. what I don't want to live with is the affect of the 6 second of power still being applied to the window motor when when the window has already stopped moving up or down, and I can still hear the motor having power applied to it

Sorry they are not to your liking. I am sure someone will buy them from you if you decide to go back to OEM.

I just checked mine out when I got to work. My motors on all 4 windows shut down the instant the window finishes the up or down cycly

Is this the same if you start the auto up when the window is just cracked open?

Good question. Im gonna go outside and check that in a bit. Also i may pull the drivers door panel this weekend quick and throw a meter on it just to confirm. I will advise in a bit.

No need to pull the entire door panel. You can just pop up the piece with the switch in it.

Listen closely. We have the same truck. Maybe some switches were built properly. But others have said the same complaint as myself that the motor is still activated even when the window is in the fully closed or open position

For me, it didn't matter. Still had power applied to the window motor. Which others have said the same thing

Myself included. I would venture to say all of these switches are functioning the exact same way. Some people may just notice it less. I personally don’t mind it and I guess time will tell how it effects the motors.

Mine aren't installed yet but I doubt I'll mind. And I don't even use my windows often enough to particularly care about the longevity of the window motor. If anything, I expect to replace it at some point anyway since I just replaced my front driver side window motor on my 2008 4Runner v8, 133,7xx miles on it. :notsure:

Ok. So this is what i got. I borrowed a stethoscope and listened. All four window motors (regardless of where i start them off from whether it goes full cycle or window was just cracked) stay on for 2 seconds once the window is fully opened or closed until i hear them click off. Hope this helps.

Sounds like I might have a faulty switch. If you read some of the other comments in this thread. You can hear others say that their window motor is activated from 5 to 7 seconds after the window stops moving

You are a gentleman and a scholar. Order placed, driver window panel only, in blue, for my 2016 SR5. It's such a first world problem to have, but I have always REALLY hated that at least the driver side window isn't an auto up. This will be really nice to have.

I'm little confused by this note on their website: 2. Updated all switches to all Auto UP and DOWN. But not the original only auto down.

If the original driver door switch module was driver's window auto-down (only) do you get auto-up and auto-down on all four windows, or just the three passenger windows? I have a 2011 SR5 TRD CM.

OK, 5 minutes later it's installed. Thoughts? works well, the blue is a pretty close match, and I like the red light on the door lock and when the window lock is on, easy to see at a glance.

As far as it keeping the motor on, well yes and no. Yes it takes a few seconds to hear the click, it doesn't seem to be straining the motor. The best way I can describe it is if you manually hold the button up or down after the window has completed opening/closing you can hear/feel the motor, where as if you use the auto function, while it takes a few seconds to click, you don't really sense the motor trying to operate. Hope that makes sense.

I have a 2019 TRD Pro. The original OEM window module on the driver’s door only had auto down for the driver’s window. The new module has auto up and down for all 4 windows.

@FuegoMCS same as tommytundra I had auto down only prior to buying the cartimhome switches and after I now have auto both up and down on all 4. I did buy the 4 switch kit but the drivers switch panel works as all auto up and down regardless if you replace the passenger switches. I just wanted them all to match and be lighted.

Just ordered the driver switch in white. Hard to believe this isn’t a standard feature on newer trucks. Btw the Kingsev7 discount code works! Thanks!
