Picking up my new Tundra on Saturday. It has dealer installed PPF on the hood, door edges, door cups. I’m planning on ceramic coating the truck. How do I treat the PPF? Can I treat it like paint and polish any scratches or hazing in it? Also, what is a good LSP for ceramic coating? Can I top it with wax? I’d be using meguiars hybrid ceramic wax… Any help is appreciated.

Coat it with underdog pro. You won’t be disappointed. Wash with CarPro reset or underdog soap.

You can coat the PPF just like paint.

Good to know. What about initial prep? If there’s any swirls or hazing, can I give it a light polish with like poor boys SSR 3 and a white pad?

Yes. Prep is everything. Then do a wipe down with a alcohol mix or CarPro eraser

Good deal. I’ve never dealt with PPF before, so I’m learning.
