My new SR5 TRD offroad tundra is currently on a rail car for delivery. I went into the dealership today to get parts and talk about a lift. The parts dept told me I had the Load leveling height control air suspension after running the VIN and that i couldn’t lift it. My sales guy and the service manager went through my build sheet and couldn’t find anything other than “coil spring multi-link rear suspension”. Is there anyway to to confirm this or any magic words that would be in the build sheet were missing? I’ve been waiting months for this and my anticipation is killing me but I want something I can do what I want with.

Where is the other half of your spec sheet that shows what packages the truck is equipped with? There is a TRD option on the SR5 that does come with load leveling suspension.

That TRD package does not include the load leveling suspension. The parts guy at your dealer was misspoken.

Load-leveling Rear Height Control Air Suspension is an option for the SR5, but it will not be an option for the SR5 TRD-Off Road (coil springs only)...

I have a question for the air equipped guys. Is anyone concerned about the air system? It’s just seems to me that no manuf has ever made a air system that worth a dam. Granted I have faith in Toyota. I have had vehicles with air bags and have all been garbage. Granted I think most won’t keep a 22 that long to find out if it’s good or not.

Only time will tell. I’m hoping it’s good. It wasn’t my choice. It was just on the truck that had the other options I wanted. I’m planning on keeping mine as long as possible. I should have kept my ‘18. I’m optimistic that these trucks with later build dates have at least the big bugs worked out (wastegate issue, etc). If not, that’s what warranty is for, and if I need to I’ll look at buying an extended warranty when My 3/36 is up.

I have a 20 and I will be buying the extended warranty just in case, you never know. Hopefully your later build it better.

I’m supposed to be taking delivery sometime this week. Last I talked to my salesman it was scheduled for 6/2. Of course as soon as I get it, I have a 500 mile drive to make, so that will tell me a lot.

Not to derail the thread but it should be illegal for them to charge you $130 for an air filter with TRD branding.

Lincoln has had all four corners on air for a very long time. I have a '92 Crown Vic with rear air. Still works. Original bags and all. I'm the original owner.

Yeah, it's a joke. Toyota must be adding it to every truck. I got the platinum and they tacked on the stupid air filter. You can't even get a TRD platinum but yet I have a TRD air filter.

All the old Lincoln's I saw where either nose high, low rider, 4x4 or ass high. Trailblazer SS came with air suspension. Had 3 of them and there was always an issue. Now I am speaking long term. I think Toyota will outlast other air bag systems but its just dated tech in my opinion.

Interesting...our region (Central Atlantic Toyota) doesn't have a single one. The closest SR5 with it is 1367 miles away. It must just be something they don't build here.

I’ve seen a few SR5s with it around here. It seems to kinda go hand in hand with the SR5 convenience package
