Transmission doesn’t freewheel when going down hills?

I’ve had my 2020 Tundra since new. Second one and I love it.
The only thing I think is odd is when I am coasting down a hill, the transmission stays engaged and doesn’t allow me to more or less coast down the hill. Other vehicles seem to go into neutral as you go down a hill. This truck seems to want to stop itself.
Is this common to all Tundras?
    Thanks

Yes. Actually when the brake is engaged when going downhill, the Tundra will downshift in most scenarios to help engine brake. I like it.

Yep, it's normal. Artificial intelligence in the tranny ECU. If you drive in "S" mode, there is no AI and the tranny fells more like it's freewheeling. Just put it in "S" mode, push it up to "6" and drive like you normally would.

I wondered where the other thread went. This inter web thing is confusing.
