Damn, I love that color. Can't wait to see what people do with these things off road.

 

How do you like the hybrid? I think I'm 10 days away from picking mine up (1794 hybrid).

 

It’s a phenomenal powertrain. All the power and torque I will ever need.

I was trying to drive it nicely on the way home from the dealer. Until I needed to pass someone on the interstate. Barely put my foot down and it took off, I am already addicted to this power.

You’re going to love it.

 

@Inferno15 I veered off US6 on my drive home yesterday to stop and take pictures of this beauty ha! That orange caught my eye. Great to see one in person as I'm on the list for sometime in the next century.

60 mile drive home and the computer says 12.5 mpg.

Im sure it was idling awhile and I was driving between 65 and 80mph. I also put the pedal to the floor a couple times because I couldn’t resist.

Anyone is desperate enough to pay $68k for the SR5 CM? It was posted today on kijiji in Calgary and Saskatoon.

 

How about $70k for a used sr5 with the small display and probably minimal options? Or a limited for $74k? USD too…

Edit: that SR5 would be almost $90k in funny money…Are people really dumb enough to pay that?!?

Cant wait to get your updated MPG. I know its hard right now because its new and its probably awesome that you got the first one to take people on rides and what not. Just interested if that number gets closer to the 19/20 number.

Devil's advocate for a minute. A lot of folks here place the Tundra above the competition. It's caught up in features, performance and surpasses in resale value and it will run forever. Not necessarily dumb to pay a markup if you place the value of it above other trucks in that range.

My example. I'm getting the TRD pro. I'm paying a markup that places in near where my F150 Lightning is (pre credit). Now I've been in both, driven the pro and I'm buying the Pro because for around the same money, I think the pro is a better truck. It's a steal to the competition if you get it at MSRP but I still think it's a buy if you get it near the competition.
