2019 CM Limited. To/from work, Grocery getting and towing a 28ft TT are it’s main job. It’s hardly been on a gravel road…Considering the Michelin Defenders due several reasons. Long tread life, very quiet, and very positive reviews here.

My question is this - is there another tire I should be looking at that is comparable? Also just installed 5100s (front on middle setting) to level the front so I can go slightly larger ( from what I understand 275/60 to 285/60). What benefits, if any, would I see from the slightly larger tire? Just a better appearance?

Defenders are awesome and really intended only for highway driving with some very limited off-roading, I say this because there are some Equally smooth highway drivers, equal fuel efficiency yet do have some moderate to slightly serious off-road abilities due to their tread design and side snipes, long lasting, super quite and good looking. I use them on dirt, gravel, rock, sand, mud, cactus galore and rutting around a 5000 acre deer lease, super fun. Those are the Michelin LTX AT2s:

Not cheap but the good stuff never is.

I have a set of each, defenders on a sequndra and LTXs on a 4Runner, they never let me down.
