So I have a RCD 6 inch lift(heard some speculation on it not being a full 6 inches but that’s for another day) and I was planning on adding SPC uppers and after doing some digging I found the solo LCA’s and thought I could really beef up the front end with the two paired. After looking at how much alignability(if that’s a word) you can gain I thought it really give me maximum capability. But… my question is would it be overkill or just straight up too much alignment that I don’t need. Speculation needed

If you need more footwell/rear fender clearance get the solo's (may require front bumper trimming).

If you aren't able to get the camber you want now, then add the SPC's.

If you dont, your just another poser. Everybody thats anybody has the solos. When i grow up i hope to be somebody that can have the solos. Hell, i’d fist fight an alligator or a bull for a set of solos. Im waiting to see how the lbj maintenance goes before commiting, but you’ve already got a bracket lift and wheel spacers, what have you got to lose?

This guy worms his way up to be an inside spoon. Then he bites my ears at daylight.

    No, i bite him back.

Lol, he gets super hyper sometimes, and to block him for going for my soft bits i use my forearm to calm him down. He only bites for a second or so, but its working…i think.

he bites my hands less when i eat spicy foods.

They use OEM LBJs, so maintenance is the same. No idea if there's any change in longevity, but I don't see why there would be. Poly bushings is where my mind is for maintenance.

I was going to comment something similar, but I think this person* was referring to possibly doing a tactical inspection of their/they/them* current ball joints, and then deciding to move forward from that point and possibly ordering some tactical lower control arms if deemed neutrally Necessary

Ah! I see. For the record, I would be happy to do R and R every 20K Mi on a 1" tactical uniball on a stock length but tactical LCA if someone made them.

Also, are you talking about; rock and roll, rest and relaxation, or refurbish and restore?

I know the solo LCA gives you 2-3 degrees of caster and camber. SPC gives you + or - 2.0 degrees of camber and 0.0 to 4.0 degrees of positive caster. So I’m just trying to have my ducks in row before I just start buying stuff because it’s cool . SPC UCA’s will definitely be happening regardless but just wanting to weigh pros and cons of just replacing LCA’s with factory or solo’s. I’d love to go LT but not sure if that’s the direction I’m trying to head

Yup, we're different. Stick around and you might enjoy.

I would first find out if the upper arms are compatible. I don't recall if it was RCD or RC lift that the spindle is not compatible with the upper ball joint from SPC. You'll want to dig around on that and maybe contact SPC for a compatibility check.

The lower arms might fit, but with the added caster and 6" of lift they may make for weird alignment specs. I would contact Solo to see if they work with your lift.

If the stuff all fits, the real question is do you need it? If your upper ball joint angles are not terrifying, and alignment is satisfactory, then you probably don't need the upper arms.

The lower arms are for three benefits:
    1. Poly bushings hold alignment better than stock compliance bushings
    2. They move the tire forward an inch for more clearance
    3. They're stronger than stock
    4. Theyre tactical (maybe 4 reasons)
