2018 tundra sr5 silver sky , after hemming and horring I got my black overlay badges and was not sure to put them on. After looking and putting them up and taking them off I decided to go for it
I put on all the black badges even the tailgate tundra letters and after I find it I have to say,They really look good, the chrome was nice to but the black ones give it a more rugged look, I like them, looked good before but better now. If anyone is on the fence about black badges I give then 2 thumbs up. Next is black rims but that won't be for some time now , money is tight . Tint? Maybe, what do you guys and girls think.

Def tint…but splurge for a ceramic film and find a local trustworthy shop!

I would say tint is a must and relatively cheap if just needing the front windows done.

I had the overlays but the minute they started to get crusty and started to peel back from the chrome underneath, I debadged. Much better look imo.

Blackout badges are a must have on a silver truck. Thumbs up on the window tint too.

I got tint put on my silver sky and is one of the best mods so far. You have my vote to go for it

I’m in NC and 35% is our limit for the front doors….most Toyota factory tinted glass that we meter at my shop falls around 28-30% but a 20% will appear to be a close match

I live in New Jersey and I believe 20 percent is the most to go without being bothered by the police but I have to check on that. New Jersey has their own rules . The badges look great, next window tint then black rims looking at Fuel rims , leaning toward Beast rims but not sure yet. And AT tires of course . Got a reply to use ceramic tints, is there a differance? I didn't know they have differant tints.

Ceramic film has far better best rejection than a typical carbon film
But is also a little pricier…we typically do a set of Toyota doors for around 150-160

If it's better then that's what will go on my truck. Regular price is about $110.00 so if the better one is $50 dollars more I think it's worth putting on my tundra ( my baby) this is the first Time I called my truck my baby I usually call my boat my baby ,but she will understand.
